I've got some pretty fancy shmancy equipment to choose from now, but I suppose the old favorite basic tools are still old favorites for a reason.

A 7/8 Sheffield wedge, simple leather, little bit of silvertip and some good soap = one happy Leo's daddy.
That's a gorgeous blade Greg . it is very nice seeing you on SOTD.

PS: I love the Friodur 17 that I got from you (back in April/May, I think). One of my favorites.

Default Week of November 28 SOTD - Thursday

    Pre-Shave: Hot shower
Razor: 6/8" Thiers-Issard "Eagle", Full Hollow, Spanish Point/Barber's Notch
Brush: 22mm New Forest Silvertip Badger
Überlather: SRD Bulgarian Rose Shave Soap
Astringent: Thayer's Witch Hazel (Rose Petal, no alcohol)
    Moisturizer: Dr. Hauschka's Rose Creme
    Cologne: Creed Vetiver
Result: As much as RAD can sometimes be looked down upon as the evil side effect of shaving or something to not seek but avoid, it harbors many important attributes that we generally take for granted. One such attribute is "Choice". When it comes to shaving, I love being able to wake up in the morning (or the night before) and spending a few minutes thinking to myself "Hmmm...what am I in the mood for today ?" (and of course, wife getting a kick out of watching me choose ). For me, this question is as important (and enjoyable) as the ritual of shaving itself. So, today I chose my TI "Eagle", SRD Rose soap, and finishing with Rose WH/moisturizer and Vetiver cologne...well, the Vetiver is not exactly fitting with the Rose theme here, but hey, that's my "choice". I LOVE choice.

May your days be filled with many choices. Have a FANTASTIC Thursday guys. Sorry folks, but we don't get to choose or pick the day...at least not yet...maybe one day, we will.
