No Double Duck in my display case unfortunately so I have another Special German razor for today.
    Strop: A H Christian
    Brush: Comoy Badger
    Soap: Proraso
    Razor: Long Life 145 11/16
    Astringent: Thayer's Cucumber Witch Hazel
    A/S: Wahl Bay Rum
Result: 2 passes with a very nice smooth result. This razor belonged to my grandfather (who was also German) and so is not only a great shaver but a family heirloom.
This was the first time I've tried the Cucumber Witch Hazel. I wasnt sure weather I'd like it or not, but after having a smell and trying it out, I have to say its really nice, I like it.
    Cheers boys

Cool You Reap what you Sow

Now when there is a Theme week on, and the theme is Dubl Ducks, which happen to be my favorite brand, I have to reach for my Baby...
The Dubl Duck Lifetime aka The Grim Reaper
A Lime Uberlather whipped up with the Big ol Shavemac 28mm Silvertip just adds to the pleasure.. Followed by a Pusser's Lime Splash,,,
Oh Yeah Baby !!!! That is what I am talking about!!!!
Now that is a great start to a crappy day, as I get to head to the Dentist this morning

Now to be perfectly honest the Reaper was just the finale'

I had to test shave these 5 this morning too

Maybe I should cancel the dentist appointment and enjoy my day off

Lynn honed this for me a while back. What an awesome razor. Very little stuble but she found them all and wiped them away.

    No DD for me

Boker Red Injun 101/Vulfix Pure Badger/Tet-a-tet Cream and ASB

Keeping it simple Today. Minimal products and a basic blade, gave stellar results. This boker had spent lots of time on the hones but had never seemed as sharp as I needed. So I broke down, reset the bevel and followed Glen's One stone hone method. All I can say is "finally this Boker delivers". This was a DFS +3.

Great Pictures of some Beautiful Razors today. Have a Good Day, Gentlemen.

    Amund,
Now, that's what I call a serious "Arlington" style shave. Love the Zep too.

Go figure...a German that owns only one German blade, LOL. To make matters worse, he plays with not one, but two rubber duckies, LOL

I love this picture Tom. Well done and nice shave.

Fabulous hardware/software Birnando. Those Dorkos are spectacular shavers. The SRD soap is one of the best, but it's too bad that SRD doesn't carry it anymore.

    Wowww Grant,
Nice heirloom. Beautiful blade. May you also be blessed with a long life to enjoy using this "long life".

Wooooahhhhh. Now, that's a beauty. Hard to come by too (I think). She's a beauty Glen. And having experienced the edges you put on your blades, I bet she was no slacker either.

    David,
Gotta get you a Duck. But in the meantime, this Boker is a heck of a looker and nothing simple. Congrats on getting her edge finally dialed in.
