You guys Rock!!!!!
Woww Teiste,
If I didn't know any better, I'd say that the Calani has taken a nice top spot in your rotation.
Beautiful combination John. Nice Wonderedge
Phil,
I love my Thater too Phil. Excellent craftsmanship and bristle quality. Nice buy. Congrats.
Love your Kobar Mark. I am sure we'll be seeing a DD from you in Show and Tell soon enough.
Thanks Mikael
Birnando,
You are da man, man. Thank you for the very kind words. It is really appreciated. This is a community (or rather brotherhood) where it is a pleasure to interact. I feel like everyone is somehow related to me...like a family.
Moonbeam: I can't count that high, LOL...but thank you
Andy,
Very nice...kinda like buy one get one free, LOL. I love it. How does it feel to shave with a 3/8"?
Chip,
Nice job on that brush and a very lovely DD.
X,
Holy cow, look at that lather. Very nice. It must have felt great to wipe a few months of growth with that Wapi
Thanks Chip. Rudy Vey turned the handle for me based on a design I gave him. Great job he did with the Kingwood too. Highly recommend him, but since you do this yourself too, maybe you can give it a go? Aside from design, it is also very ergonomic and easy on the wrist.
Ouuuuch Jim,
I think it should be illegal to wake up anytime before 5AM, LOL. I am glad you had a nice relaxing shave though. The CF lime is fabulous as is the Duck. Well done. Get a bottle of wine and celebrate.
Nice going Jeff...Love the gear. I am sure that once you dial that edge on this beauty, she will not disappoint at all. Nice salamander too
Amen Monroe. Great shave.
Hence the dangers of having a "razor themed" SOTD, LOL. I don't know about everyone else, but I do feel your frustration and pain.
Great shave though. Love your Boker and I am glad to see that you're loving the MdC (and hope you won't get bored and put it on the classifieds, LOL)
And a quack quack here, and a quack quack there...everywhere quack quack. Sweet dreams buddy. Tomorrow you'll dream about Kamisoris and Samurais, LOLLast edited by BladeRunner001; 03-16-2011 at 02:12 AM.

A day with Japanese razors.
Our hearts and thoughts are in Japan in this days. It is a terrible situation.
My personal SOTD:
soap: Calani
brush: Muehle
razor: H-Diamond
AS: Brut
May the force be with you!

Thank you. If I have much growth, it's a trial really because there's no question of letting the weight of the razor do the work, but if it's a case of a quick once over or tidying up it's very easy to do, and you can be very precise about it. If I had smaller fingers, that'd help!

Wednesday morning
My thoughts goes to the people of Japan today, I hope the worst is over (and that your wife´s still fine, Bill)!
Prep: Hot shower
Brush: New Forest, Tubby 2
Razor: Henkotsu
Soap: Nannys The Spicey One
AS: Barbershop Bay Rum
Strops: Neil Miller
Result: Very clean
Bay Rum AS scent was nice, classic and rich in "flavour".

良い一日を。
Wednesday mornings shave
My thoughts are with the Japanese people, as they fight thru the hardship of the horrendous disaster they have been hit by.
Prep: Warm Shower
Brush: Heinrich L. Thäter, Silvertip 26mm
Cream: Truefitt & Hill 1805
Razor: The very petite Solgen75 Chemical Steel. (Next to a Livi, for comparison) Fresh of a Nakayama Maruichi finisher
Strop: Kanayama #90000, tri strop
ASB: Truefitt & Hill 1805
EdT: Truefitt & Hill 1805
(in the back of the picture, you can just make out the curious face of my African Grey Parrot, he goes by the name Viggo..)
A very nice day to you all!Bjoernar
Um, all of them, any of them that have been in front of me over all these years....
