Post Week of March 13 SOTD - Tuesday

    "Quack Quack"

    Pre-Shave: Hot shower
Brush (Rudy Vey): 26mm w/TGN Grade A Silvertip Badger (Kingwood handle)
Razor: 6/8" Dubl Duck "Goldedge", Full Hollow, Spike Point (Max restore)
Strop: 40/65 (Torolf linen/Premium IV leather)
Überlather: eShave "Almond" Shave Creme + Mitchell's Wool Fat Shave Soap + Glycerin
Toner: Thayer's Witch Hazel (Rose Petal, no alcohol)
    Moisturizer: Trumper's Fragrance-free Moisturizer
After Shave Splash: Floïd Italian Blue
After Shave Balm: eShave Almond ASB
    Cologne: Acca Kappa "1869" EdC
Results: Awesome shave with the quacking Duck today. This beauty was restored by Max with all of her original parts intact. Hard to believe I had picked this one up for ~$35 (if memory serves me right). The Rudy Vey brush whipped up a nice creamy überlather, which was a fabulous treat to use. The almond scent was absolutely enchanting. While in a zen like trans, this quacking duck effortlessly wiped the whiskers to reveal a super smooth and BBS skin.

    Tuesday, March 15th

    Razor: Wilkinson Sticky
    Blade: Super Iridium
    Brush: Thater "Chubby"
    Pre-Shave: Musgo Real Glyce Lime
    Soap: DR Harris Arlington
    A/S: DR Harris Arlington Splash

The H.L. Thater brush is a very well made, if relatively unknown, brush. I just picked this model up off the B/S/T and it larger than I imagined...a 26mm knot with a 50mm loft according to my measurements. The handle is octogonal and really feels great in the hand. It tore through the Harris Soap and produced enough lather for an Army. My Sticky and Iridium combo continue to impress.

Not a single Dubl Duck but no shortage of other German razors here, so two for the price of one. The tiny Fermarud excels at tidying up, but a complete shave can be a trying affair.

Gotta 120; Gebr. Lang "Fermarud" 3/8; New Forest 2201 two band; Tabac soap and aftershave.

    Soap: Mama Bear's Bay Rhum

Brush: 22mm Badger Silver tip Grade A set in Tru Stone red with gold matrix
Turned it myself on our lathe and glued it up.

Razor: DD Satinedge perfectly restored by Max a few months ago

    Aftershave: Dominica Bay Rum

All the best things in life, what a way to start the day.
