    Rum,

I'm going to have to break down and get some Martin Candre soap. Is that the scented or unscented variety?

It's the scented. I would get the 170g glass bowl or wooden bowl. The 50g is only good if you really need it to travel with. It will last a minimum of two years. This stuff is just awesome and IMHO ought to be in every straight shavers' den.

+1 - It's got incredibly high shipping, but is worth EVERY penny you spend. It performs good enough to be the only soap I own (but we all know that's just crazy talk)...

Really! I kinda feel like the Palmera's are a heavier grind or maybe a heavier razor than the Fili's. Maybe that just me.

WOW! Thank you Beautiful picture and to have all those awesome blades in one picture. The Plamera is heavier than the DT but not the EPBD.

I am convinced that the Geneva Cutlery Pyramid 7 blade is just perfect for me. Another fantastic shave.
    Nathan,
It is indeed a great feeling when blade and owner become one and a perfect match. Congrats

    Don't rush it yet Monroe,
Shipping is crazy high...I know Rene also wants one and I want to get the wooden bowl one. My friend will be coming again from Paris. I will find out when he will come again and let you know (maybe June or July-ish). I may be able to entice him to bring me 3 soaps again (you, Rene and myself). I don't want to push him for more this time around.
