1934 GEM Micromatic, Open Comb
GEM Personna Stainless SE
Classic Shaving Jasmine SS
Lord Nelson Scuttle
Omega Boar
Dickinson's Witch Hazel
Nivea Replenishing ASB
British Sterling Cologne
Results: "Silence of the Lambs" ......I missed shaving yesterday due to attending a Grand York Rite Convocation. This morning I choose (poorly) the GEM MM, Open Comb to dispatch the two days growth of beard. On the WTG pass I felt some pulling so, I completed it and changed to a new blade. The second (ATG) pass I zipped away and before I noticed, I had removed at least two layers of flesh on my neck. (You're starting to understand the "Silence of the Lambs" reference aren't you!?) After many applications of cold water and Witch Hazel to try to stop the bleeding (the don't make a styptic pencils BIG enough to cover these lacerations!) I managed to avoid the Mercy Helicopter flight to a local triage center. Lesson learned: Never, ever, use a GEM MM,OC with a fresh blade after two days of not shaving without extreme caution, especially if you are on blood thinners! LOL I hope everyone had a better go at it this morning than I did. LOL

Damn Bruce, look out there my friend ! You know those SE razors are just like a Straight with a different handle. Thank goodness you didn't need that dreaded copter ride, we don't need any of that business goin on around here. Settle down and have a beverage of your choice and enjoy the weekend coming up. Hope ya heal up quick my friend !

back to back shaves
Razor: Geneva empty pyramid 6/8
Shave Soap: Mama Bears 'Northwoods'
Prep: hot towel
AS: Nivea balm
Two nights ago I had an awful shave with this one, one two many head shaves I guess. I should have stopped and grabbed another blade, but for some reason I didn't! So I hit the hones for a touchup yesterday (Norton 4/8K and PHIG) and last nights shave was sweet! Two passes and purty darn smooth.
