Thankyou to everyone for your thoughts and prayers for Jacky boy, it means SO much to us. We are back at home now, his temperature has returned to normal and the doctors have put it down to an unknown virus. Unfortunately his immune system has plummeted over the last 3 days, so we will have to pretty much keep him isolated at home for a while, but he is feeling better and full of spirit.

Matt (GreenlightJerky), hope your mother is doing better.

Amund, If your reading, you are in our thoughts constantly mate, Hope your OK.

After 3 days in hospital without shaving I was looking forward to this one. I selected the good old W&B for the job and it served me well. 2 passes was enough to satisfy me, not quite BBS but definitely a damn fine shave.
Thanks again for all the support gentlemen. you guys are awesome.

    Prep:Hot Towel
    Scuttle: Dirty Bird Custom Double
Brush:TGN 24mm Silvertip Custom in crimson swirl
    Strop:SRD PIV English Bridle
    Cream:J.M. Fraser Mosswood
    Razor: Filarmonica
    After shave: Brut
    EDT: L'Occitane Vetyver

Result: I had planned on shaving yesterday, but after traveling home and taking care of a few items, I opted to just wait until this morning. We had thunderstorms this morning and I must say it made for a very enjoyable shave. There is something magical about the rhythmic beating of rain on the roof and windows, the roll of thunder, and the sound of whiskers being wiped off of the face. I quite think that this may be the most relaxing soundtrack ever.

    Have an amazing Saturday gentlemen!

    Glenn

    C & E Hand Soap,
    GFT Limes SF as prep,
    Palmolive Classic SS (Grated),
    Dovo 5/8,
    Razorock Alum,
    GFT Limes SF,
    Davidoff Cool Water EdT.

5 laps of the "Water of Ayr" stone, 5 laps of a red Dovo pasted strop and then a damn good stropping on one of Neils black latigo strops and off we went!

A very smooth close shave and one happy camper!

Great idea Bruce. If you have some Aloe plant, cut a piece and rub the juice over the mark. It works like a charm

    Grant,
Good to hear that everything was OK. Immune system will come back. Cook Jack lots of leafy vegetables, lots of fruits, no raw foods, and lots of water.

    +1 on Matt and Amund

It's called being one with your shave and nature, LOL. Well done and welcome back home Glenn.

Excellent Oscar...I love it. Neil makes some good stuff. I have his linen strop (as per Max' recommendation) and I love it.
