Thanked: 1262Lather Mixture of MWF and KD Creations menthol cream Brush Thater 24mm Splash Aqua Velva Ice ASB KD Creations Mentholated Razor 7/8 Scallop Backed Friodur Misc I lied about not shaving the rest of the weekend. After spending a couple hours working on a car and getting covered in rust/grease/who knows it sounded like a good idea. Even broke out the scuttle. One buzzed head, shower and shave later I am feeling like a new man. Pic Last edited by Slartibartfast; 04-09-2011 at 09:41 PM.

Beautiful Fon GS!

Little Henry
Razor: Henry Sears & Son 1865
Shave Soap: Speick
AS: Witch Hazel followed by Colors AS (no, I wasn't wearing stonewashed jeans!)
Bought this little 4/8 Sears (nicknamed "Little Henry") a while back to see if I would like the smaller blades. Although she's a great shaver--and American Steel to boot; I've decided I don't like 4/8's due to the fact that I don't like stropping them and enjoy the heft of a little larger blade. Lesson learned!
That said, this was a great 2 pass shave, very sharp and smooth. Tried shaving with the off hand for the first time and did OK with it. Loved the Speick as always. The Colors AS stung like a hornet!

I have this exact razor - ERN 4627. I know nothing of these and just bought 9 others off of Ebay because of this razor that was given to me. My scales are just like yours, but don't have the flat edge close to the blade and my blade has gold etching and says "SOLINGEN" and has an Indian chief to the right of the wording. I am thinking that you have replaced your scales or it has been repinned? What year was my razor made and what approximate value does it have. Mine is in excellent shape, has a few small scratches from someone honing, but actually doesn't look like it has any blade wear to speak of. Thanks - Johnny
