I started my day with heavy ugly clouds in the sky and a short run over the Cross Bronx Expressway North. The road can jar your teeth loose and the winter was not kind to the road. Made it to Manchester about an hour early and am now sitting in a nice bistro called "Between Rounds."
On my way here, the roads smoothed out and the sky cleared and I had a wonderful drive. It is now beautiful outside as predicted and I am enjoying the morning.

    Enjoy the day!!
Sounds like a perfect day for a mini-meetup! I hope you and Rene (and Liz) enjoy your visit. I'm looking for you coming to DC...

    Birnando,
...And I will never tire looking at her, LOL. She is quite the looker too. Congrats. You know, I was thinking: Have you tried shaving off those stones without stropping? I'd be very curious about this especially going from a JNat to an Escher. Don't try it on my account, just wondering!!

Another Army day today. The little Swede is true to its heritage. It gave a BBS shave, even though I need to take it back to the stones for a little play time, I believe.
Very nice Bill...even for an Army day. As the saying goes: "She is all that she can be"

Hehehehe. But make sure you don't put your wallet on a "lapband"...there are side effects, LOL. Looking forward to seeing your restore buddy.

    Jeff,
The honing will be revealed after Rene is done. Is "Between Rounds" bistro where you're meeting Rene?

Post Week of April 24 SOTD - Saturday

    Pre-Shave: Hot shower
    Brush: 23mm Shavemac Silvertip Badger
Maxterpiece: 8/8" DOVO #55 "Best Class", Full Hollow Ground, French Point (Bone Linen Micarta)
Strop: 0/5 laps (Neil Miller linen/Premium IV leather)
Lather: La Toja "Manantiales" Shave Soap
Toner: Thayer's Witch Hazel (Rose Petal, no alcohol)
    Moisturizer: Trumper's Fragrance-free Moisturizer
After Shave Splash: Floïd Italian Amber
After Shave Creme: Sabon AS Creme (Thank you Frank )
Results: I had my DOVO #55 rescaled by Max who decided to clothe her in his newest scale material - i.e., Bone Linen Micarta. Needless to say, she looks AMAZING (Thank you Maxtro)!!! The La Toja Mantiales provided an incredible lather in which the DOVO was all to happy to play in. The 2-day growth was absolutely no match for this beautiful blade. I loved the smooth and BBS shave this wonderful steel delivered. I didn't feel a thing. In fact, I had to remind myself that I had just shaved.

See you all tonight...Busy day ahead. Have a TERRIFIC Saturday gentlemen .

Thanks Robert...It was a great shave. The only thing that could best it is a straight razor shave.

My niece is fine. I just spoke with her on the phone. She's in her parent'e house in Montgomery now. She says that it will be several weeks before she can return to her apartment complex in Tuscaloosa.

Say the truth man!! You have hijacked Max and he's rescaling your razors as a slave .... Miguel and me have sent some razors and there is no answer from Max.....

No photo today! But first shave in what seems like a very long time. Been under the weather with an old bug!

Just did one pass today and boy-o-boy do I feel civilized. Though I'm not quite back on my feet this has made me feel a whole lot better.
