Nice way to commemorate the event with the Duck and AK creme.

Happy SRP anniversary Greg. What a nice choice for a "first" razor to begin one's maiden voyage in straight shaving.

A nice idea indeed Glenn. Ain't honing fun?

    Béla,
How do you like the 2-band D01? Isn't that a heck of a fantastic brush? Stiffest backbones I have ever experienced. A gorgeous Pipe too.

Razor: Jose Montserrat Pou Filarmonica EPBD #14, black scales
Honing Regimen: Chosera 1K, Coticule La dressante au Bleu, Nakayama Maruichi.
Results: A fine shave, very smooth edge. This razor was a bit tricky, it was not treated right in its early years. Now, it shaves like a EPBD should
    Birnando,
I had no idea you were wearing a cast. Sorry to hear mate. What happened? But glad to hear that's it's off and you'll be hitting the 18-hole courses again. Watch out Tiger Woods!!!

BTW: A beautiful EPBD you got there. I also like going from the Coticule to the JNat. I found it to give one of the best edges I've had.

I really like that Le Grelot Bill. Max did a wonderful job on those butterscotch scales.

I love it and it will always be a part of my equipment

Beautiful mug Grant and a gorgeous Bengall. New display cases? Can't wait to see them (filled)...I guess we should be expecting newcomers or restores in your collection soon.

She's a beauty Rene. Is she one of the ones that was tough to hone?

Post Week of May 1 SOTD - Tuesday

    Pre-Shave: Hot shower
Brush: 22mm New Forest 2211 Silvertip Badger
Maxterpiece: 13/16" Geo. Wostenholm "Original Pipe" razor, Full Hollow Ground, Spike Point (Blue Paua scales)
Strop: 40/55 laps (Torolf linen/Premium IV leather)
Überlather: Proraso Shave Creme + Mitchell's Wool Fat Shave Soap + Glycerin
Toner: Thayer's Witch Hazel (Rose Petal, no alcohol)
    Moisturizer: Trumper's Fragrance-free Moisturizer
After Shave Splash: Proraso AS Splash
    After Shave Creme: Sabon
Cologne: Acca Kappa "White Moss" EdC
Results: The Wostenholm Pipe razor is an amazing shaver. With the Proraso/MWF überlather, this Maxterpiece had no problems at all wiping the leftover stubble that have reared their ugly heads. Super smooth and irritation free face.

Woo hoo! That´s a razor with some nice looking scales!! It could marry my brush, but then it had to move to Sweden and live her for the rest of her life ... Not a shabby destiny though

    Thanks
Yeah, the Coticule-Japanese progression is nice. I get very good and consistent reslults that way.

You know, the story about the cast is something else.
Late February i took my foster-kids who had just moved in, to an indoor skate-park around here.
The oldest kid (9) made the ramps look pretty easy so I thought, sure, I can do that..
Well, next thing I knew, I was at the bottom of that thing with a somewhat painful foot.
Turns out I had managed to get 25 fractures, some torn ligaments and what not in there
Like my 5 year old foster-daughter told me later, One has to practice first!!
    Especially you old people

heh, I can just hear you all cracking up all around the internet now
    Bjoernar
Um, all of them, any of them that have been in front of me over all these years....
