    .

    Razor: Henckels Friodur 17
    Strop: Ambrose Cordovan (25/60)
    Brush: KimSon silvertip, buffalo horn
Lather: Da Bomb, Al's shaving cream, "Palermo" ....(thanks my friend)
AS: Al's shaving cream, "Palermo" ASB
    EdT: Floris Limes
Summary: Another great day, Da bomb is arrived to my home, and I really want to give it a try and know if my expectations are or not confirmed.....The scent is fresh, vegetal (green tea, eucaliptos, lime,...) ideal for the warmer summer in Spain. I'm surprised with the perfomance, only a little amount of cream and the brush start to make lather as a beast,.....few drops and it exploits on dense, creamy and nice lather...with this stuff I want to shave....The Henckels 17 is a good razor, it gives me a good BBS, but I cutted a little spot,...and this is the only negative point. The balm is thick, as a cream, not the best for my skin, but the scent is great and it's a good moisturizer.

There was some expectation on the brush corner ....

Beautiful Wacker Nathan. I think I have (almost) the same one, but mine is the French Point, 7/8"+. They are great shavers

Results: BBS on the cheeks, closer on most of the neck than any other method, and very little burn from the clubman. Feeling of accomplishment. Priceless.

I am officially addicted. And as soon as I can make a WTG pass in under 15 minutes it will be daily
Welcome to the fold Poppy. Great to have you here. Keep at it...it only gets better. Congratulations on your great first official straight shave.

Fantastic Oscar. 90% of this sport is enjoyment and zen. IMHO, all the song and dance and rituals that we go through (and which comprise 90% of the expense in shaving) is in an effort to maximize the enjoyment/zen.

    CONGRATULATIONS José,
You are officially terrorized by the Bomb (hopefully this won't put homeland security on alert, LOL). Great stuff. I know this stuff is hard to come by in Spain. And of course, you had to pull out your #17 to show off, LOL Sorry about the cut though.

I love the Brushes and how they're competing for attention. Nice story...and nice collection

I woke very early this morning with my Blackberry going bezerk. As one can imagine, it was a busy intelligence day. I drove 90 miles to work did 12 hours of training and came home to a nice hot shower.

    Today's shave:
    Warm oil
    Dirty Bird Scuttle
    New Forest badger
    Acca Kappa shave cream
    Dubl Duck full hollow
    SRD P1, 40 felt, 60 leather
    AOS Aluminum
    Clubman Bay Rum
    Vaseline for men.

I think the Daily News said it all

I didn't get a chance to post this shave yesterday. It was the anniversary of my first straight shave. I'm SO glad I discovered straights and SRP! Special thanks to Lynn and Obie for their guidance. I'm honored to have so many new friends through SRP!

This Bismarck was the first straight razor with which I shaved. Although I still respect her (and her spike point) I wasn't nearly as intimidated by her yesterday morning as I was a year ago Awesome relaxing BBS shave!

Have I mentioned that CarrieM's Sage & Citrus is one of my favorite scents? It's a great compliment to the Guerlain as it has a light citrus scent too. If you've not tried Citrus & Sage, you're missing out!

Thank you Robert for your kind words. I generally hate big razors, but the Futur was so well balanced that there was no distraction from the size. So, I took a chance on the Vision and so far I'm very impressed. Totally balanced, the weight never becomes an issue, I generally never get BBS when trying a new razor, but this thing is an exception. Two shaves into it and I'm gushing over it. A TTO that can be uber-aggressive or uber-gentle, so far I'm sold. But it's back to the straights tomorrow and I shall revisit it soon enough, to re-evaluate my opinion. And the MWF was awesome, It really performs well, if not better than my beloved Arko,Wow is all I can say. I'll try tomorrow with a softer brush and see if it still lathers so easily. But with a firm horsehair brush the lather was stellar, I found this one of the easiest soaps to lather that I've used so far.
AS always you pictures in SOTD are inspiring. Peace and have a wonderful evening.

Thanks Robert. I meant to comment yesterday regarding the slurry dilution to plain water. I agree this is the way to go. I have this idea in my head that says I want to try the shave at points where I'm switching it up so I can compare the feel. One of these days, I'm going to actually do this in the middle of a shave (Do 1 side of the face, hone, do the other side, hone, etc).

Greg (Linacman) Congrats on the 1 year anniversary my friend. I'm looking forward to seeing you at the Mid-MO meetup again!

    Glenn
