Although I didn't know Amund, I know that many here on this site knew him and considered him a friend. My condolences to his family and friends. He will be missed.

I've never posted to SOTD before. Amund was such a gentle spirit. I don't know how SRP software works. I'm wondering if it would be possible to "retire" Amund's username?
Namaste,

Thanked: 2Pre Shave: Noxema
Brush: Omega 48 Pro
Soap: Arko
Razor: Simmons Hardware 5/8ths 'Barbers Pet'
A/S: Pinaud Clubman
First try using the Noxema as a pre shave. Color me impressed. The result was a very creamy lather. My face felt a bit tight after shaving, but I will be trying the Noxema again for the next several shaves. I want to see if I experience the same results with other soaps/creams.

Indeed he will.
I am deeply saddened to hear of Amund's passing. I never met him in person, but he will be missed by me--as I am certain he will be by all of us. My heartfelt condolences to his family.

Well done guys. Each of your shaves is a wonderful testament dedicated to a truly amazing gentleman. Amund will be sorely missed
I bet you're right. Well done Monroe
Excellent hardware/software Rum. I love this combination
Beautifully done. I have an Arko shave stick that I have never used (yet). I need to break her out one of these days and see what the fuss is all about
Well said Monroe. Thank you.
Nice quote from his "on joy and sorrow". I Love Khalil Gibran.
"Your joy is your sorrow unmasked.
And the selfsame well from which your
laughter rises was oftentime filled with your tears...
When you are joyous, look deep into
your heart and you shall find it is only
that which has given you sorrow that is giving you joy."
The one that comes to mind is from his excerpt "On death":
"...Only when you drink from the river of silence shall you indeed sing.
And when you have reached the mountain top, then you shall begin to climb.
And when the earth shall claim your limbs, then shall you truly dance."
Amund: Dance my friend, Dance. You are now free. We love you brother.Last edited by BladeRunner001; 05-20-2011 at 04:32 AM.
