Thanks Grant. I'm sure we'll have some quiet time since last week was graduation and things were pretty much nutty.
Thanks Glenn. The man has an iron dome. CT and other tests all negative.
Thanks Rene. I think I need a drive when I get home. If weather permits I'll take a run up for breakfast!!
Rene, and sick they are.....LOL
Thanks for the kind words. I am certainly proud to have a father like him. He is a good man, difficult at times, but he has a good heart.
The incident is kind of weird. As he stepped from the elevator, my Mom called him, he turned with his back to the elevator door. The door then began to close, hit him and threw him off balance. His head hit the wall, not the floor. Anyway, all is well.
I decided to spoil myself again after the wonderful shave yesterday. I checked the flight and it was on a 757. Big aircraft, many passengers, lots of pushing and shoving and waiting in the aisle for ladies to lift bags over their heads that they could not possibly lift. I was not in the mood to be part of this so I upgraded. Should make the travel a bit easier.
More news from last night. I may be driving my daughter home!! I like road trips with her. We have fun.
Enjoy the day. I still say we need a bar thread in this section, or someplace on the website.“Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe.”

Thank you Robert. I liked design and bought. Tried and liked straight razor's comfortable shave too. My first razor. For me no problem holding and handling. Also you can put fingers on sword, (two fingers on shank, two fingers on the sword's sides, and last little finger on the tang) this second hold more tight and comfortable for me. I shaved 5-6 times and now i can get very close shave with WTG XTG and touch ups. No irritation except neck, my lower neck growing up and right and have Adam's Apple. Maybe i should go up (wtg) on lower neck. Still learning

Thursday:
Very busy here, woke up late as well, no time this morning thus quick shave and unfortunately no photo.
Merkur 34G > Wilkinson > Omega No. 34 > Dovo cream Eucalyptus > Myrsol Agua Balsamica > Creed Aventus.
Two passes, very smooth and super clean, absolutely no irritation.

Thanked: 1072Robert, I think you may have misunderstood, that photo was after my first ever straight shave in April 2009. I'm actually surprised it went that well, here's what it was honed on. The combo stone from the hardware store and an ebay strop with some Dovo paste on it. Stupid newbie
Sweet razor Rene

Thanked: 1072Strop: Illinois 835Have a great day fellas
Soap: Proraso
Brush: FS Finest Badger
Razor: Joseph Rodgers 6/8
A/S: Gillette Cool Wave (Come on, it was 4 bucks)
Result: Just a quick 1 pass shave tonight to assess the edge on this new razor after a little more honing this afternoon. Its a little better than last night, I think I'm happy with it. A very nice shave.
I found the Gillette Cool wave after shave splash on special today and thought for $4 I'd give it a try. I walked into the living room after tonights shave and my wife said "who's been using Fly Spray?" Dont think I'll be using that one again. I just cant find a menthol style A/S in Australia that isn't ridiculously overpriced.
