Just a couple of touch-up test shaves tonight. I usually dont shave on Saturday night but decided to test these ones at the last minute and didnt get a chance to take a photo. So I hope you dont mind a couple of recycled ones to show you what I'm talking about.
The shaves were very good. I think I'm finished fine tuning the honing.

I did some more honing last night. The Harvard was fine. The Silver queen need to be dialed in a bit more. Still gave me a great shave but i think she can be better.

Gentlemen,
Running a bit late today (we're celebrating my dad's 84th and my sister in-law's birthdays) and there's literally no time to comment on everyone's SOTD, but suffice it to say:
***MARVELOUS SHAVES FROM EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU TODAY***
More specifically,
Str8shooter: Welcome to SOTD. Looking forward to see more of your postings in the future. Also, congratulations on your first BBS baptism. It is a great feeling. Well done
Frank: The Cyril Salter is a top notch creme. The Vetyver you have is amazing, both in terms of scent as well as performance. You should also try their Sandalwood and Wild Rose.

Week of May 29 SOTD - Saturday
Pre-Shave: Hot shower Brush: 22mm New Forest 2211 Silvertip Badger Maxterpiece: 11/16" Wapienica, 1/2 Hollow Ground, French Point (G10 Jade Ghost scales) Strop: 45/65 laps (Neil Miller linen / SRD Premium IV leather) Ãœberlather: Cyril Salter "Wild Rose" Shave Creme + Cella "Crema de Barba" Shave Soap + Glycerin Toner: Thayer's Witch Hazel (Rose Petal, no alcohol) Moisturizer: Trumper's Fragrance-free Moisturizer After Shave Splash: La Toja Manantiales AS Cologne: La Toja Manantiales EdC Results: I was inspired seeing Frank's post with the Cyril Salter, so I mixed mine (Wild Rose scent) with the Cella and VoilÃ; An incredibly rich and thick concoction which the face loved . The Wapi Maxterpiece is one that I've had for quite some time now but haven't gotten around to introducing her to this forum yet (don't ask why...I don't even know myself ). So, here she is guys: Wapi, say hello to the boys and guys, here's my Wapi. These were made in the 70s in communist era Poland and named after the town they came from. Her all steel (Swedish steel) construction was originally intended to be used in (amongst other places) Soviet hospitals, but their use in straight shaving was soon realized afterwards. They take (and hold) on a great edge too. After a spurt of interest in the Wapis ~1 year ago time frame, the trails cooled off and I haven't seen many posts about them much these days...but I think they are rather under-appreciated razors. I love mine . She gave me an effortless shave this morning (and you know how much I like effortless shaves ). Like yesterday, I opted to finish things off with the Manantiales AS and EdC (I just love the scent). I had taken the picture with the Floïd (but changed my mind). BBS, smooth and irritation free shave to get this important day off to a fabulous start.
******************************
Have a MARVELOUS Saturday gentlemen . Continue the fine shaves and posts and I will see you guys in the new SOTD week starting tomorrow.

Friday night's
Razor: Union Cutlery "KA-BAR 48"
Cream: Speik
ASB: WitchHazel + Colors ASB
Brush: Vintage Rubberset Boar
Great shave with a 'new' razor. Got her honed up and polished a bit and couldn't resist a test run. She definitely delivered an above average shave, 3 passes to the definition of smooth. May have to find some more of these Union Cut.'s!
The old boar is nice but always very thirsty, needing a little extra soap or cream...

Prep: 2 mile run, Warm Shower, Razor: Boker Red Injun #102, Brush: Semogue 1305, Cream: TOBS Eton College, AS: Alum Block, Finish: British Sterling
A brick simple but highly effective 3 pass shave. This was the first straight razor I ever bought and remains a great one. After 17 shaves since its last hone it remains scary sharp. The older I get, the better I was

Thanked: 33Merkur Vision / Perma-Sharp blade/ MWF/Ever-ready Brush with #6 horsehair knot/ Clubman
My SOTD has become so boring since I started using the Vision. I just can't seem to put it down. The Perma-Sharp blade has been in over a week, I hand stropped it today, just because it's getting old. I don't know if it makes a difference, but it's still delivering smooth sharp shave. These are really long lasting blades, I've heard it's very similar to the legendary Iridiums ?
Great Shaves today, Gentlemen
