Result:2 passes this morning with the Engelswerk and I'm feeling heavenly. I just have to make it through today and I'll be on vacation for 1 week. I'll start it off right tomorrow morning by heading to the Mid Missouri Meetup. I'm looking forward to seeing some of the same people as last year and meeting some new ones. After returning from the Meetup, I'm just planning some fun time with the family...and working on some razor projects (of course)
Have a great Friday everyone!

...And a 7/8 Spanish point (if such a thing exists), LOL
Mikael,
She's a beauty regardless and thank you for the kind words my friend
Yuuummmmy!!!! That lather looks good enough to eat, LOL. T&H has some great stuff indeed. Great ERN too.
Great looking car Bill, but that's a Toy Porsche. Here's the real thing, LOL:
She is a few thousand $ above my budget currently, LOOOOOOL
B.,
You're a man after my own heart my friend. Now, you're talking...I'm in with my wife's Prius (goes from 0 to 60 in a blazing 2 days, LOOOOOL). We love this car.
Beautiful score from eBay Rene. She's as clean as a whistle. I am "All Over" this one, LOL.
Tom,
You obviously haven't seen Armenians drive, LOOOOOOOOL.
You SE addict you...You probably have the entire yearly collection by now from 1900 to 2011, LOOOOL. Beautiful collection you're building Mark. Well done my friend
Rum,
That is a fine looking piece of steel you've got there. + a great shave to accompany this fine razor.
LOOOOOOOOOL. Horns are cheaper than brakes I guess
Targets???? We're not out for blood José, LOOOL. Bugatti is a fine machine. I personally prefer their motorbikes.
Someone please PIF this man a camera, LOOOOL. Seriously though, that's a nice gear & congrats on the Omega shaving brush
You "Speedy Gonzales" you, LOOOOL.
Jeff,
Do you usually stop after the 8k? I am asking because for me, the 8k is a bit harsh (off the naniwas at least). 12K + CrOx should do the trick for you (hopefully). This is why this honing thingy can be fun...one size doesn't fit all. Each blade has her own requirements. Have fun

.Razor:Iberia 13 Strop: Ambrose "corto" Spanish Horse (25/50) Brush:shavemac D01 silvertip lather: Truefitt&Hill 1805 AS: Truefitt&Hill 1805 EdT:Trumper's GFT Comments:A spanish razor different than fily, Iberia was the brand of the straight razors made by Bassat, a company that made the blades known as "Filomatic". The olive wood scales are much better than the original (broken) black plastic scales. Not a terrific shaver as fila 14. Today a full 1805, a scent that I like a lot, the perfomance of the cream is not the best in glide and moisturizing properties but it runs. I don'thave the 1805 EdT but GFT goes well with the T&H scent.

That Diamond of yours comes in really super cool scales Frank. I bet she's every bit as great of a shaver too. Great piece in your collection.
If only Max could get G10 Purple colored scales...Hmmmmm!! Food for thought.
Sten,
That's a beautiful "Mystery" razor. Nice scales too. Well done. Sorry about the suds (those darn pre shave oils always get in the way, LOL). have you tried just pre-shave oiling, leaving it in for 5 minutes, than washing it away? That's what I used to do in my pre-shave oil days and it worked like a charm. Whiskers are happy, brush is happy, suds are happy.
Béla,
That Wacker of yours is quite remarkable. Beautiful in every way. Congrats.
You too Konstantinos...and a great setup too
Thanks mate
B.,
Sounds like the perfect day...it certainly started with this marvelous shave of yours. Great EPBD my friend and of course, Arlington is top notch. Well done. Enjoy your loooong weekend.
Banks have a national holiday???
Great shave Mikael...Sorry about big Nick visiting, but those Wackers are known for taking on a very keen edge. Great gear today
Great Boker. They are great shavers.
Grant,
I think it's probably 2 & 3, not you. I have 4 coticules and for me, they're touch and go. They are finicky stones for sure (I think). Try different hones maybe? You'll get it to perfection soon enough with this blade...no worries there.
Glenn,
Now, that sounds like a heck of a nice plan. Have a great time at the meetup, have fun on your vacation with family and looking forward to seeing some of your razor projects. BTW: beautiful Engelswerk (and shave)
Jamie,
I think today's SOTD has your name all over it. I loved this one...Fabulous and creative from A to Z. Thank you for putting a HUGE smile on my face. Nicely done
I love it José...and it's always nice to learn a bit of historical fact about a razor. Thank you my friend
