I simply can not get the blade as sharp as I keep my straights, either with the built in strop and hone or with my coticule, I suspect that its the stropping which lets it down. A good shave but not as close as I have come to expect, on the plus side there will be more beard to plough down tomorrow with my Allen and Son

Sounds like fun Birnando. Enjoy
Great list Birnando. I haven't shaved with (nor do I own) any other customs other than a Maxtom, but I imagine that the ones you listed would be the top 3. Looking forward to an update once you get your other customs in
Looking forward to it
Thanks Birnando,
She is a fantastic soap and well worth the try. I am still getting used to the scent (not sure if I quite dig it yet). It has a more smoky & soapy clean scent. The lather is quite unbelievable though. Pick one up while in London. You won't be disappointed.
Congrats Monroe...Sounds like a fabulous shave. How will you celebrate?
That is a beautiful Japanese straight Rene. Telly is a great source of this stuff. Great find
Nice job Matt. Why are you unhappy with the scales? Enjoy your day off
In a few days, this wonderful vacation will come to an end. I am sad. Great pictures Tom.
Doublicious shaves Teiste
Oscar,
Those shaves are almost always the best. Congrats and enjoy
Beautiful shot José. How do you like the Lea Mentolada?
What a delightful combination Glenn. Well done. Great choices. Don't work too hard and have a fabulous day
Nic,
Great looking Rolls. Sorry about the less than perfect shave though...I am Looking forward to your SOTD tomorrow. That's sure to be a treat.
...and super super nice Mark. I really enjoy your shaves. Well done buddy
But I was being serious, LOOOOL. Imagine, we can start a whole new field in wetshaving therapy/medicine. The curriculum can offer Ph.D and/or WSMD (MD in Wet Shaving), LOOOL.Last edited by BladeRunner001; 05-30-2011 at 02:34 AM.

Robert,
Good question...First, I went to Church. Not an easy task on race day in Indianapolis. Afterwards, I ate a hearty breakfast of waffles (w/ sugar free syrup) eggs and sausage, washed down with two cups of coffee.
Then spent several hours in the back of the house removing the underbrush on our patio in preparation for the family's Memorial Day meal tomorrow.
Refreshed myself with a nice cold brewskie (Anchor Steam). Followed by a roast beef sandwich on wheat w/ pickles and horseradish.
Finished up the day by downloading three new books on World War II related subjects onto my Kindle."Age is an issue of mind over matter. If you don't mind, it doesn't matter." Mark Twain
