Post Week of May 29 SOTD - Monday

    MEMORIAL DAY SHAVE

    Pre-Shave: Hot shower
    Brush: 24mm Shavemac Silvertip Badger
Maxterpiece: 6/8" Thiers-Issard Historical "Rooster & Fox" worked back, 1/4 Hollow Ground, Round Point (w/ Kingwood scales)
Strop: 45/60 laps (Torolf linen / SRD Premium IV leather)
Überlather: Jack Black "Triple Supreme" Shave Creme + Mama Bear's "Ye Ol' Babershoppe" Shave Soap + Glycerin
Toner: Thayer's Witch Hazel (Rose Petal, no alcohol)
    Moisturizer: Trumper's Fragrance-free Moisturizer
After Shave Splash: Alt Innsbruck AS
Results: A memorable shave for this Memorial day Monday. A great day to take this TI for a ride. Refreshed the edge on the Shapton Pro 12k and she took on a very nice and smooth edge . A few laps on the strop and she was good to go. The Mama Bear soap(s) are marvelous in every sense. Abundant, rich, moist and creamy lather on demand, which lasts and last and doesn't even show any hint of drying. I love this stuff. FANTABULOUS.

Happy memorial day gentlemen. Whatever you end up doing, have fun and be safe.

...and talking about Al! Well done José. I hope you like the creme.
The LEA cream, talking about mentholated products, is in the league of Ingram, Godrej, Proraso, ... You can get a decent shave, but LEA is not worthy of bow your head

the more I use the Palermo cream, the finer are my shaves

Thank you, but I think it´s good taste not to know ... this is how Henckels sell their razors today, it´s not a vintage blade in other words (never the less a good razor)

    Default Monday Morning

Prep: Hot shower – followed by Proraso pre-post shave cream
SS/SC: Proraso “Sapone Da Barba” + Castle Forbes (Lime) = Superlather
    Brush: Vulfix “Grosnevor” Boar/Badger
Strop: VB Red Latigo 50 fabric; 55 leather
Razor: 6/8” Mastro Livi New Grind w/ genuine Buffalo Horn scales
    Astringent: Dickinson’s Witch Hazel
    ASB: Visal “Dopo Barba” gel
    AS: Floid (Spanish) “Suave”
    Result: BBS…

Reminder to self: Exercise extreme caution when using this razor. Its scary sharp. So sharp, in fact, that it could remove the 4" armor off of a German Tiger tank--if held at a proper 15-30 degree angle. Needless to say my beard, which is nothing like tank armor, was no match for the Livi. ATG only throughout the shave and my face was as smooth as a baby's bottom; and only two small nicks.

    Prep: Hot Shower
    Razor: Lecran Cutlery (New Guy)
    Brush: Semogue 1305
Soap: Mitchell's Wool Fat (lathered in new whale oil mug)
    AS: Skin Bracer
    Finish: English Leather Cologne

Great shave, the new guy delivered in fine style. MWF of course was outstanding. A great Memorial Day shave. Today as you barbecue, swill beers or simply enjoy time with folks you love, please take a minute to acknowledge those who have paid the ultimate price for our freedom and all of those who will spend their Memorial Day in harms way. All gave some, some gave all.

The older I get, the better I was
