A long day at the office yesterday, so I'm just now catching up on posts.

Took 2 trees down and layed them across the street. Then about 1/2 later my sister was at my house because she has no way to get home. MANY MANY streets are closed and blocked by down in trees. Not sure how many twisters landed. Very happy to be safe. This is the first time i have ever heard of one landing here in this area. Crazy day! Shave tomorrow!

That's scary Rene! Glad you and your family are safe.

    Congratulations Monroe!

    Prep:Hot Shower, Coconut & Lime Pre-shave oil
    Scuttle:Dirty Bird Custom Double
Brush:TGN 24mm Premium A in Custom Crimosn swirl
    Strop:SRD PIV English Bridle
    Cream:Bodega Bomb
    Razor: Kama
After shave: Ogallala Limes & Peppercorns
    EDT:L'Occitane Vetyver

Result:2 passes this morning with the Kama. She's a bigger blade a 7/8 and one of my favorite shavers. The shave was effortless and left me smiling.

    Have a great Thursday everyone!

    Default Thursday June 2`nd

At last the moving to a new home is nearly over, and I have found my camera again in all the mess!

Todays shave was a pleasant one. Stropped the T-I Rams Horn 7/8 on my SRD Black Latigo strop, 30/50. Made some nice smelling Fitjarsoap Be My Honey lather in the SW scuttle, it has a nice smell of wild honey. If given enough product the Simpson Chubby 3 in Super Badger makes unbelivalble quantities of the finest lather. My face enjoyed both the super soft Chubby and the warm, soft lather, then I went to work with the Thiers-Issard. 3 passes today, including ATG gave me the perfect shave I always look for, especially when I have the day off. Finished with Fitjarsoap Neroli aftershave cream. Very good shave!

Perfect weather here in southern Norway today, now it is time for some gardening. Enjoy your day everybody, and thank`s for all the great posts!

    Razor:Taylor 5/8
Strop: Ambrose "corto" Spanish Horse (25/50)
    Brush:Vie-Long 16726
lather:Cella crema di sapone extra purissima
    AS: Floïd Blue
    EdT:Czech&Speake, Oxford&Cambridge
Comments:I've rescaled (with a cheapo set from Superiorshave) and honed this Taylor, as the seller told me because there is no brand in this razor. It's a full hollow razor and it takes a nice edge with less honing than others. And it's a fantastic shaver. The Cella dries a bit for my taste and the scent it's not very pleasnt, as "Play-doh" paste. The Floïd blue has no menthol and the scent is very powerful.

    Razor:Akatombow in Elk Bone
    Strop: Kanayama
    Brush:Shavemac Silvertip
    lather:Bomb in Vetiver Custom Blend
    AS: Cade
    EdT:Habit Rouge
Comments:This may well be my last SOTD post for a few weeks as my wife and I leave tonight for our vacation. And I had to pick some goodies to use, so I whipped up some of my favorite cream. The Bomb with the cedar and vetiver was pure nirvana and the Akatombow wiped away what little growth I had after the past two days of beyond BBS shaves. It's time to pack today and then head to the airport. If I am able to post over the next couple days my shots will be from (potentially multiple days each spot) Istanbul, Rome, Tuscany and Venice in that order! I've also included a preview shot of how my shaves will look while I am away in case I can't post. Enjoy your shaves, gentlemen!

Gracias, Jose! It's not to camouflage so much as convenience! It's not all European gear; I am taking NOS vintage Gillette blades for my DE...

Bill: Enjoy your trip and we will miss you here! That looks like a very respectable travel setup for your European shaves. I still think you are going to find some goodies there! Have fun and be safe!!!
