    Grant,

That's a beautiful Father's Day photo of you and your son Jacky.

It ought to be an inspiration for all of the current and future fathers out there.

I know that it is for me.

I hear everclear should work?
    Sten,
Should be well soluble in alcohol (not water though). Great recipe though...thanks for sharing

Excellent work Konstantinos and congratulations on your improvement. One of the great things about wetshaving is the ease with which one can assess and produce quantifiable results. Well done

I've always had good lathers from the Tabac, but they have improved dramatically since I became much less conservative with it.
yeap Grant. Gotta go liberal with the Tabac. The more, the merrier. Wonderful stuff. Praying for sunshine for you today. You certainly readied yourself for it with this fabulous shave.

Post Week of June 12 SOTD - Tuesday

    Pre-Shave: Hot shower
Brush: 30mm Morris & Forndran, 2-band Blonde Badger
Razor: 7/8" Carl Herder "Quo Vadis" #98, Full Hollow Ground, Spike Point
Honing Regimen: Naniwa 1k, Shapton Pro 1k/2k/5k/12k, Maruka Asagi (with Atoma slurry progression)
Strop: 0/20 laps (Torolf linen / SRD Premium IV leather)
Überlather: Cyril Salter "Wild Rose" Shave Creme + Trumper's "Rose" Shave soap + Glycerin
Toner: Thayer's Witch Hazel (Rose Petal, no alcohol)
    Moisturizer: D.R. Harris Aftershave Milk
After Shave Splash: D.R. Harris "Pink" AS Splash
    Cologne: Penhaligon's "Blenheim Bouquet" EdT
Results: This Quo Vadis was another score from the Bay (I have a few more coming ). I think she really is (and acts) like an extra hollow. She was not only easy to hone but also took on one fantastic edge. Smooth as butter. The M&F brush was another one of my brush purchases. At a lofty 30mm, she is not as big as I imagined. I didn't think I would enjoy big brushes, but she just feels right. She effortlessly whipped up a nice, thick überlather from the Trumper/CS mix. My skin feels ultra smooth in just 2+ passes .

Made a set of homemade micarta scales for a JR Torrey ARMY razor. I thought it would be cool to use 9mm brass cases to surround the pins. Cool..perhaps, but way too much of a pain to install! I posted about some more pics in the restorations section. Had my first shave with the new scales today though!

    PS: Shave Secret Oil
    Soap: Poraso
    Brush: Omega Pure Badger
    Blade: JR Torrey ARMY
AS: Thayer's Witch Hazel followed by Bathworks Spanish Fig & Nutmeg cologne
