Just got this C12K delivered from Poland today, after a 90 minute session with the DMT8C to get it flat, and some polishing with 400-1200 wet/dry-paper and BBW I did the Gotta on it.
Started with slurry , diluted every 5-6 strokes, combo of regular strokes and X-strokes, finished with on clear water.
I might have lucked out a got a really nice stone, the shave off it was really nice and smooth, and sharp enough for effortless ATG. Pretty impressed with it!

    Default Friday

    Pre-Shave: Hot shower & L'ccitane Face Wash
    Brush: Simpson Chubby 1 Best
    Razor:Filarmonica DT 13
Honing Regimen: Unknown, but I managed to ding the edge a while ago and fixed it with my La Grise Coti
Strop: 30/60 Neil Miller Linen/Legion Kangaroo
    Soap/Cream: Irisch Moos
    After shave: Irisch Moos
Results: Four days since last shave , spent a couple days in the woods with my family and didn't bring any gear. Haven't had that much beard in almost a year, but man it was a great shaveThe Filarmonica chopped down the stubbles like a harvester cutting grains, two passes WTG/XTG on face and WTG/ATG on neck with a small touch up on the chin equals a perfect DFS shave (I selldom go for BBS). And the Irisch Moos Splash was the perfect finish to the shave. Got this bottle from a friend in Germany earlier this week (Thanks Erwin), and had a first go on it today, wonderful stuff, and as a bonus SWMBO loved the scent aswell, could it possibly be any better? Superlather-Jack Black Soap/Erasmic SC
    Alcolado Glacial Splash

-just got the Jack Black soap yesterday. It's got peppermint/rosemary but there is not real menthol/peppermint freeze. The lather just does not last long enough for a straight-adding the Erasmic fixed that. I'll keep playing around with it, perhaps it takes a unique water/soap ratio.

    Theseus,
Glad to learn that first 1st stage of interview was a total success. Good luck with stage 2. Great shave to kick start the day.

PS! Although that razor needs no words at all, I can't help myself; It is stunning! I even adore those 3-color peens.
    Sten,
Thank you for kind comment about the razor. The peens are two color (silver-ish and gold). The top layer of gold came off from too much rubbing/drying, LOOOL. As for teh Catalyst: I like it but not my favorite (like to use it once in a blue moon). I think it's got too much stuff for its own good and it becomes a "mish mesh" of scents. But I was in one of those "mish meshy" moods today anyways, LOOOOL.

    Ivan,
That is one gorgeous JR I love the covered Ivory tang on her. What a beauty. The Puma wasn't enough, now you're taunting me with this one, LOL? Great matchup with the G&Q.

    Amund,
CONGRATULATIONS on this fabulous C12K. From what I hear, they are very much touch and go. You may have lucked out and gotten one of the great ones...but seriously, 90 minutes to get that darn thing flat? Holy cow man...Well done

    Rune,
Gorgeous Fili my friend. Sorry about the ding, but glad to hear it wasn't too big and you were able to get it out. Feels good to have that much stubble removed, eh?

I don't know about the JB soap, but the creme is excellent for sure (the Triple Supreme or whatever it is called). I am sure once you get the water/soap ratio down, it will be just as good as the creme too.
