    Creme: Tabula Rasa Dark Lavender
    Astringent Alum Block
After Shave Splash:Watkins Jamaican Bay Rum

Results: This was my first use of the Tabula Rasa Shaving Cream. I loved the scent and it provided a fantastic base for the Bismarck to do its job. BBS with absolutely no irritation. The alum bloc gave no sting

    After shave: Sabon

Results: Life threw me a curve ball on Monday. When I returned from two weeks of Army Reserve schooling, I was promptly notified that due to the economy, I was being laid off effective that afternoon. Needless to say, I've been a bit distracted ever since. Thankfully, things are going better than I anticipated because I've got an interview today with a firm, and another scheduled for tomorrow. Both firms have told me up front that if there is a position, it would be a pay cut, but a lower paying job is better than no job at all! All of that aside, today's shave was divine! I wanted something special to put me in the right frame of mind for my meetings, so I broke out the Kikuboshi and the La Toja. Both of these are top notch performers, and they lived up to their reputations! I did a two pass cold-water shave, and was rewarded with BBS skin. The Sabon moisturized my face incredibly well, and the Santal Noble is a fragrance you have to experience. I'm ready to take on the world!
Bill, I am so sorry to hear the news. Good luck with the interviews.

A nice sunny day in Oslo today. Just got back from spending the day at the lakes, swimming and grilling food.

    Shave prep: Face wash
    Brush: Frank Shaving Finest Badger
    Soap: Mitchell's Wool Fat
Razor: Faugier Annonay, 6/8 round point hollow ground
    Strop: nun2sharp's hanging leather strop
After Shave Splash: Bay Rum, house blend
Notes: A great shave after a day in the sun. The badger needed some convincing to produce a great lather, but got there in the end. Perhaps I'm just too used to my boar brush. The razor was perfect, and gave a 2-pass comfortable BBS.

PREP: Hot shower with Hot towels
    RAZOR: Micro-Sori
    BRUSH: Rudy Vey chubby
    SOAP: La Toja
    AS: Kanebo " EROICA"
    EDT: Cool Water
RESULTS: STICKY SMOOTH IN 1 PASS
I got this razor from David, its awesome but as Glen has said, u need to use NO pressure whatsoever on it or cuts will ensue . All it took to get incredible close and near BBS is 1 pass. I think I can still push this edge but it is a ridiculous blade. The La toja is an outstanding soap and made for a great shave, another gift from David is the Kanebo, it is very reminiscent of Tabac, maybe a little deeper, but is a great change up.
BILL IM SORRY TO HEAR THE BAD NEWS, BUT GOOD LUCK ON YOUR FUTURE INTERVIEWS

Sorry I haven't posted in sooo long but I have been on a Proraso kick lately. Only been using pre/post, soap, and AS every day. This is so I can concentrate on technique, and the shaves have been breathtaking my friends! Don't worry though, not half as beautiful as all your SOTD pics... thanks for the inspiration!

    Have a Great Week Gentlemen!

Razor: GPG (with an arrow thru it, any guesses?) near wedge.

Sorry I haven't been around for a few days men. I just got home from the hospital after a 3 day stay with so many tests it was amazing. So many tests that I was only able to eat 1 meal a day for the two of those days. Today I got Breakfast and Lunch!! What a treat!!!!

Ok, for those curious, I had an apparent series of heart attacks this last Sunday. During the testing and MRI's and the radiation, etc.. they discovered 2 bulging disks in my neck too!! Not life threatening. They also found I have had a heart attack previously. Some scarring showed up during the tests. But an ultra sound today showed that everything is pumping as it should, and I passed the heart treadmill stress test with flying colors. They aren't sure why this is happening, but my heart rate is an amazingly low 38-45BPM at rest. They thought there was something wrong, but determined this was my norm.

The Dr''s. are talking about doing some surgery on my neck, but I was on an aspirin regimen that I must discontinue until they determine what to do with my neck. I see them again in 2 weeks. I've been in pain for so long I was kind of used to it. But I was mighty glad to go home today.. It's back to work tomorrow for me!!

Now, for todays shave! I haven't shaved in 3 days so this was going to be heaven!! I'm pulling out the big guns for this ..

    Old Spice Shaving Soap
    Puma 'My Darling'
    OBR +Lime+peppercorns AS
    OBR cologne

No pictures boys, I have to much catchup to do!! But believe me, I enjoyed every single second of the shower and shave.

    Happy shaving mates!!!

    M
