Ok, for those curious, I had an apparent series of heart attacks this last Sunday. During the testing and MRI's and the radiation, etc.. they discovered 2 bulging disks in my neck too!! Not life threatening. They also found I have had a heart attack previously. Some scarring showed up during the tests. But an ultra sound today showed that everything is pumping as it should, and I passed the heart treadmill stress test with flying colors. They aren't sure why this is happening, but my heart rate is an amazingly low 38-45BPM at rest. They thought there was something wrong, but determined this was my norm.

The Dr''s. are talking about doing some surgery on my neck, but I was on an aspirin regimen that I must discontinue until they determine what to do with my neck. I see them again in 2 weeks. I've been in pain for so long I was kind of used to it. But I was mighty glad to go home today.. It's back to work tomorrow for me!!

Now, for todays shave! I haven't shaved in 3 days so this was going to be heaven!! I'm pulling out the big guns for this ..

    Old Spice Shaving Soap
    Puma 'My Darling'
    OBR +Lime+peppercorns AS
    OBR cologne

No pictures boys, I have to much catchup to do!! But believe me, I enjoyed every single second of the shower and shave.

    Happy shaving mates!!!

M, I highly encourage you to see a interventional cardiologist and have a heart cath done. The fact that this appears to not have been done is troubling. This is what I do in the civillian world. The low heart rate is probobly due to where the heart attacks happened in the heart Right coronary artery or distal circumflex(or beta blocker medication). If you have any questions please PM me. The heart does not recover similar to the brain. Once it's gone it's gone. The is a reason in medicine we have the phrase"time is muscle".

Indeed, one side went more than numb. First at about 3am I woke up in bed with my entire left side on fire. Couldn't hardly walk, was seeing stars and was light headed. I tried to walk it off (this was the second time this had happened, the first time, about 4 months ago, was probably the damage they saw in the radiation/stress test), I was sweating profusely, enough to totaly soak a towel I grabbed. I went back to bed and woke the wife and told her something was wrong. About this time it started easing up. So she was toweling me off and I fell back asleep. Scared all heck out of her. I woke up about 30 minutes later with the same thing, my whole left side on fire only this time my armpit and left chest were included in the 'fire'. It only lasted about a minute. At this point wife wanted to call 911, but I talked her out of. Then it happened again, then again. The last time my chest hurt so bad, and my left side was totally useless, so I caved and had her drive me to the hospital. of course by the time I got there, all symptoms were quiet. They didn't mess around, I was in a chair headed for the cardiology floor with 5 minutes of hitting the emergency room door. Then the real fun began. LOL It was the scariest experience I have had, ever!!

Thank you all for the care and concern. What a great bunch of guys.

My best to all of you!!

    Mike
