FIL-Harmoniuos DUET!
I honed these up last night. The newer fili is the first razor that did not like the nortons. She was popping hairs off the Chosera 1k then went completely dull off the 4/8k. I dropped down to the 4k still nothing. Back to the 1k and she was popping hairs again. I had to skip the whole 4/8k psrt of my honing and jump to my nagura's. 4/8 is the only middle stone i have.
Well i can honestly say there is NO difference between the 2 fili's. Older fili14 and the newer Fili DT. I recieved BBS in 2 passes as to be expected. No irritation, super smooth. Ahhhh!!!!!

Well AC,
Welcome to SOTD buddy and congratulations on breaking the silence and getting with the program and showing that blade who's boss. It does feel FANTASTIC. Well done. Hope to see more of these kind of shaves from you everyday.

Results: This was my first use of the Tabula Rasa Shaving Cream. I loved the scent and it provided a fantastic base for the Bismarck to do its job. BBS with absolutely no irritation.QUOTE]
Tim,
What an AMAZING shave...Gotta love it when everything just clicks.
PS: beautiful shot too
I love that Puma Birnando...I am sorry that she didn't deliver quite the way a Puma should...Maybe revisiting the stones in the near future?
Nice stones Amund...That's nice of Birnando...I just got my Chosera 2k/5k/10k in...1k was backordered until end of August. Can't wait to play around with them.
That sure sounds like a lot of fun Sten...followed by nothing short of a great shave.
Congrats Matt...I was wondering whatever had happened to her.
Lovely photo José...Great to see you back buddy
Joe,
It sounds like the "time-off" was well worth it and paid off. Well done and congrats.
PS: No idea what that razor is, but she sure looks gorgeous.
Jeez Louise Mike...Sorry to hear the news. Mighty glad to hear you're back on your feet though. Do they know what might have caused those micro heart attacks (you didn't notice symptoms in any way? one side going numb, etc...?). Well, hopefully, that's behind you and in 2 weeks, you will have your neck fixed and ready for action as the "Bionic" man. The low heart rate should be carefully monitored to make sure you don't have an inflamed heart and the valves are functioning properly...usually one strives for a low basal heart rate...Mine is ~56-57, but would love to take it down to ~50.
Man...you did pull out all stops on this one. Well done
Beautiful as always Frank.
Rene,
Sounds like you need a Chosera 5k at the very least (as a middle stone). Congrats on those beautiful Filarmonicas (new and old). Well done
Glenn,
These are indeed "Easy" and fantastic shavers. Great shave buddy

Truly they aren't certain what the trigger is. They are leaning heavily toward a neuro cause, not a heart cause. The think it is a nerve issue, hence the search of my spine. I have suffered PVC's for years that they can't explain either.
Indeed, one side went more than numb. First at about 3am I woke up in bed with my entire left side on fire. Couldn't hardly walk, was seeing stars and was light headed. I tried to walk it off (this was the second time this had happened, the first time, about 4 months ago, was probably the damage they saw in the radiation/stress test), I was sweating profusely, enough to totaly soak a towel I grabbed. I went back to bed and woke the wife and told her something was wrong. About this time it started easing up. So she was toweling me off and I fell back asleep. Scared all heck out of her. I woke up about 30 minutes later with the same thing, my whole left side on fire only this time my armpit and left chest were included in the 'fire'. It only lasted about a minute. At this point wife wanted to call 911, but I talked her out of. Then it happened again, then again. The last time my chest hurt so bad, and my left side was totally useless, so I caved and had her drive me to the hospital. of course by the time I got there, all symptoms were quiet. They didn't mess around, I was in a chair headed for the cardiology floor with 5 minutes of hitting the emergency room door. Then the real fun began. LOL It was the scariest experience I have had, ever!!
Thank you all for the care and concern. What a great bunch of guys.
My best to all of you!!
Mike-- Any day I get out of bed, and the first thing out of my mouth is not a groan, that's going to be a good day --
