Thanked: 14Today's shave...
I've been laid up the past few days with some pretty bad abdominal pain...I believe I have another hernia from the numerous surgeries I had a couple years ago. So, it's been a few days since I last shaved.
Prep: hot shower
Cream: my summertime favorite, C.O.Bigelow
Brush: Stephen's Woodworking #5 Silvertip
Strop: SRD Premium IV
Razor: W&B 6/8 near wedge
Astringent: alum block
A/S: Ogallala Bay Rum & Sandalwood
That Sheffield wedge just wiped that 3 days growth away. What a relaxing shave to start the week, especially after spending 3 days in bed. BBS.

Week of July 24 SOTD - Monday
Pre-Shave: Hot shower Brush: 24mm Morris & Forndran, 2-band Blonde Badger Maxterpiece: 6/8" Wacker "Wickinger", Near Wedge, French Point (w/ G10 Ivory scales + Red Jasper Stone Wedge) Strop: 40/70 (Neil Miller Linen / Ambrose Horse Hide Clásico leather) Überlather: Floris "JF" Shave Creme + Floris "JF" Shave Soap + Glycerin Toner: Thayer's Witch Hazel (Rose Petal, no alcohol) Moisturizer: Trumper's Fragrance-free Moisturizer After Shave Splash: Calvin Klein "Eternity" AS After Shave Balm: Calvin Klein "Eternity" ASB Cologne: Calvin Klein "Eternity" EdC Results: Decided to take out the Wacker today. Max had recently dressed her in Ivory with red stone wedge . Before receiving her new clothes, this beautiful gem was hidden behind some ungodly cherry wood scales. Now, this Cinderella is ready and worthy of all the spotlights. Also, I opted for the Floris today, which provided with some of the most wonderfully scented lather this (or any) side of the Mississippi. A first class, BBS shave all the way .
Enjoy a SPECTACULAR start to your week guys.

PREP: Hot Shower RAZOR: Geneva Cutlery BRUSH: Omega Boar SOAP: Napa Soap Co ASTRINGENT: Thayers ASB: Coral Skinfood EDT: Habit Rouge RESULTS: HEAVENLY ..... Great shave today, a nice 2 pass WTG,XTG, and thats all she wrote. David (Nubskillz) graciously let me borrow his Napa Soap, and this stuff is really great. I lathered it straight to the face and after a few moments it exploded with lather. The slickness and glide were like having a nice thick layer of lotion on your face. Afterwards Im still feeling my face because of how smooth and well moisturized it feels. This soap can compete with the big boys . HAVE A GREAT MONDAY GUYS!!!

Monday
Pre-Shave: Hot shower Brush: Simpson Chubby 1 Razor: Wacker Antik 15/16 Honing Regimen: John Crowley at Shavingshop.com Strop: 30/60 Neil Miller Linen/English Bridle Soap: Valobra Stick After shave: Alt Innsbruck Results: Finally the Wacker arrived after four weeks in transit , and it was definitly worth waiting for. The setup for this shave was obvious, picked out all my favorites to give this beauty a test run. An amazing effortless shave, two passes DFS. Not sure if I'm 110% satisfied with the finish on the edge, it felt just a tiny bit too rough by my taste, but it might be that I just need a few shaves to get used to it.
