Prep:Hot Shower
Scuttle:Dirty Bird custom double
Brush:TGN 24mm Silvertip Custom in Crimson Swirl
Strop:SRD PIV English Bridle
Soap:MDC
Razor: Thiers Issard “Art of Shaving”
After shave: Pinaud Clubman
EDT: L'Occitane Vetyver
Result: Today was an all french affair (ok, well not the brush, but everything else). This TI was my first Straight Razor and now I have her edge beautifully dialed in. The TI wiped off my 4 plus days of growth and left me feeling like a million dollars. Thanks for your daily devotion & contribution to the SOTD.
Many thoughts and prayers for the people of Norway, Michael & sister.

That is an AWESOME blade. Great choice
I hear ya brother...I hear ya loud and clear. Just speaking from a path I chose during this wonderful journey.
Jeff,
That's what Maxtoms are designed to do. It's in the genes...Only Max knows how to engineer that thing. Great choice buddy
That's what I thought...Even wifey liked it, but I am very much on the fence on the scents they had. We'll see. I need another soap like I need a lobotomy or a Maxterpiece. Wait, I can always have another Maxterpiece, LOOOOL.
MdC + Maxtom = TRUE HAPPINESS!!!! Ahhhhhhh. I can feel it in my bones. Well done Frank
Wowww Paul...That was fast. I just sent it Saturday. USPS rocks. Let us know how you like the AK and how it compares to the tube version you have.
PS: I also received my RazoRock soaps (the Ltd Ed tallow based, XXX and Cacao. The latter 2 being Glycerin based). I will use the Ltd Ed tomorrow. She Almond scent is divine. I can just tell that this is going to produce a marvelous lather
Dunc,
Any razor capable of that feat is a sure keeper. Beautiful too. Well done
Congrats on a very nice purchase Tim. Bengall's are awesome shavers indeed (I am a recent believer too). Don't believe everything Rune tells you, LOOOOL. There's more to that man than meets the eye. Great guy. Also, a second round of congratulations should go to you for becoming the owner of a Coticule. Wonderful stones...Which kind is she? You're going to have some fun with this one, I can see. Cotis are a lot of fun to use, but require lots of patience and testing to understand them (I think)
AWESOME shave today Glenn. Love the French Connection. Congrats on dialing the edge on that gorgeous TI

Yup once I use It I'll send back some of the other for you check out. Itls scent is great but the lather and consistancy coming out of the tube is a very diferent story... I'm looking forward to you using the Ltd. It smells fantastic and the tallow sweating glycerin(I'm assuming) just looks fantastic. How did you like the softness? It pressed into my container just like soft serve ice cream!

Prep:Hot Shower
Scuttle:Dirty Bird custom double
Brush:TGN 22mm Silvertip Custom in E. Indian Rosewood
Strop:SRD PIV English Bridle
Uberlather:Tabac cream, Tabac soap, 5 drops glycerin
Razor: Geneva
After shave: Brut
EDT: Aramis
Result: With all the Tabac on display this week, I realized I hadn't used it in quite some time. The scent of Tabac is just ok IMHO, but the cushion and glide of this uberlather is amazing. 2 passes and the Geneva laid to waste the whiskers on my face. I'm BBS and headed to the office.
Have an excellent Tuesday gentlemen!
