Hi men!
Where: Rocky Mountains
When: Late
Soap: Old Spice vintage (that soap is amazing)
ASB: Tend Skin
AS: OBR+S+C
Brush: WD 22mm Pure Badger
Razor: Genco Henry's XX (Thanks Travis!)
Strop: HM Paddle (50/100)
Tonights shave was scary sharp. This Genco will split an atom. One pass on the cheeks, and SMOOTH!!!
I got a little carried away with the razor burn tonight, but it was worth it. Cold water shave, and a little styptic and I am a happy boy...
Happy shaves!
Mike

08-02-2011, 04:21 AM #102WELL DONE GENTS
Wooohoooo...Another Wapi lover/owner. Fantastic Michael. As to the scales, these are original stainless steel ones, right? if so, I would keep it.
Thank you Rune...Well, the spine has some of the original blacking and I don't want to have it polished out/restored yet. At some point, she may visit Max for a minor clean up (the small spots that are annoying). She's an incredible shaver though.
Arko taking over MdC? Go figure, LOOOOL.
Mikael,
Now, I understand why she takes a back sit to these other gems.
Rune,
The perils, trials and tribulations of straight shaving, eh? Makes DE shaving look like a walk in the park, LOOOOL. Glad to hear that you're pushing the envelope of this Wacker's edge. Well done. Don't worry, in time you will find that not edges are created equal. Some are better than others and everyone's experience varies in this regard. have fun with the experimentation and discovery phase of straight shaving brother.
She's a beauty Rene. Congrats on a great score...How did you like the RR SS?
PS: Hope you weren't too stressed at work
You're welcome...I am very anxious to hear about your Mediterranean trip (I think it was, right?)
Nice piece of steel King
OMG José, Consider yourself very very lucky. That almost never happens. Results are usually not thinkable. I am very happy to learn that she's perfectly fine
Jeff,
Absolute bliss...What else can a man ask for?
Stunning blade Chris. I love it (literally from head to toe).
Great shave Dunc...sounds like you're soon going to be in the dog house, well...unless the house is in tip top shape, LOOOOL. When does SO return?
Well jack...I guess that happens once in awhile too. Great DE btw
Tim,
Congrats on both the shave and the honing. It is a fantastic and satisfying feeling. Well done
She is beautiful Robert. And yeap...you dose off too far into your zen, and she will bring you back. They're all like that. Just have to show her who's boss (her most days, LOOOOL). That makes me want to take out my Iwasaki for a spin sometime before this week is out.
Hey Nic,
Sorry about the irritation, but congrats on your experimentation. it is the only way to have fun and learn. Keep having fun and looking forward to hearing (or rather reading) about your honing adventures.
Tesite,
That is one sexy red handle on that Vie Long
Frank,
Another beautiful and relaxing shave my friend. Well done
Glenn,
Neither does the MdC...The two make for an unbeatable dynamic duo. Excellent
jes,
Forget the shave brother. CONGRATULATIONS on becoming a father of a girl. I bet you're on cloud 9 right now (and tired).
Look who's back. Great hearing from you buddy. You've been on my mind these last few days. Congratulations on a successful operation. How's your sister?
Love that Dovo ED...Great choice. I heard about the 444...it performs wonders but smells rather "meh"...Thoughts?
Paul,
Can't wait to see these works of art. Congrats and will pray for Nervin
EA,
What a wonderful occasion...Where will you meet your daughter (Greece?)? At least we have you for another couple of days before your departure.
Wowww Mike...What a shave. Congrats on a great razor and if that Old Spice scent is anything like I remember from my grandpa's AS, it is bound to be amazing
