Tuesday afternoon
A hectic couple of days, I hadn't shaved in 48 hours.
Bill, great news!! I had a feeling this would work out fine
Jes: Congratulations buddy. Nothing better, nothing bigger! I'm so happy for you and your family
Pre-Shave: A cool shower after a 5 hour bike-ride. Brush: Simpson Persian Jar 2, 22mm Silver tip Razor: Alex Jacques, 8/8" Damascus Custom Honing Regimen: Touched the AJ up today. 60 laps on my Oozuku put it right back to superb. Strop: Neil Miller, Custom Cordovan Shell Soap/Cream: Castle Forbes, Lavender Scuttle:Schwarzweisskeramik, Large White Astringent: Alum Osma After shave Balm: Castle Forbes, Lavender EdT: Penhaligon's English Fern Results: A divine half hour The AJ is such a wonderful shaver. The 48 hours worth of stubble was doomed. In boxing terminology this was like putting Pee-Wee Herman up against a 1974 version of Muhammad Ali! A rumble in my shave cave

Thanks, and the best thing is that she ahaves just as well as she looks
Ohh yes! I've been drooling over many of Robert's straights
Why am I not surprised?
It does, but it's a million times as fun too (And expencive)
The escher finish was really something on her, I also finished one of my Filarmonicas on it for comparison.
Congratulations Bill

What??? A DE?????
Gillette Slim w/Persona blade-Jermyn Street Shave Cream-Jermyn Street ASB-Bvlgari Cologne
My first DE shave ever!! LOL Well I have been silently watching the master's such as Bill and Obie and Have been holding on this for a bit but today was the perfect trial. I have been working on finishing the razors for Nervin and myself so took a quick shower. All I can say is WOW!! Why did we ever go to disposible razors????? I started on 1 WTG, then 3 XTG and moved to 5 ATG. I was so liking this that I did a 7 WTG again just to check for irritation. NONE!!! And as close to BBS as a DE can get. On par with a good Str8 shave. As I'm not very familiar with the blades and such I'm not sure about the persona blade but if It gets better then this I might have to pull the trigger on a EJ Barley!! Have a great day all and I'm back to work on pinning razors!

Pre-Shave: Hot Towel & AOS Lemon Oil Preshave Brush: Omega Pure Badger Razor: Taylor's Eyewitness 1000 Strop: SRD Red Latigo (30 lashes on linen & leather) Creme: MdC Astringent none After Shave Splash:My own Bay Rum Cologne: Woods by Abercrombie & Fitch Results: Excellent shave by the 1000! I picked this razor up from a lady in Scotland through Etsy.com. I paid $40 for it and it looks to me like the razor has seen very little, if any, use. I didn't really like the AOS Lemon preshave oil. Compared to others it felt sticky and hard to rub in. I much prefer Floid Sandalor or the Shave Secret Oil. No irritation and I'm ready to face the day!

Lecollier 6/8 wedge, Vie Long 16413, Kell's Lime+Palmshave lime, Tade alun, Mennen Green tonic
A citric scented shave for a warm day, this vielong brush enjoys the creams and glycerin soaps, and the combo I've chosen has given a creamy lather with a fresh scent,....the Lecollier is really effective, the Mennen GT goes well with any citric scent...a friend suggest me this alum stone (tade) and it's better than the Osma and the Hyaline, it feels softer on the skin than others.
