SPECTACULAR show today Dom...Love that custom and I guess we have a new MdC addict in the midst. Now, we certainly need a 24 step program for that too...and yes, I know, I will be the first one to register for that
    [/QUOTE]

Thanks Robert, Love that MdC and no 24 steps program for me right now, I'm too hooked!!!

    cheers bro

I know , it's kinda blasphemous, sorry. But since I don't have any DE's it was either that or fronting customers with a red lightbulb on my shoulders (and I only used it to touch up a couple spots in the back of my head, I swear)

Post Week of July 31 SOTD - Thursday

    Pre-Shave: Hot shower
Brush: 26mm Saville Row 3326 Silvertip Badger
Razor: 7/8" Iwasaki 2-chou Gake (二丁垳) w/waxed cotton handles
Strop: 30/40/45 (Neil Miller Linen / Imperial #1 Horsehide leather / Imperial #2 Cordovan leather)
Überlather: Czech & Speake №88 Shave Soap + Glycerin
Toner: Thayer's Witch Hazel (Rose Petal, no alcohol)
    Moisturizer: Trumper's Fragrance-free Moisturizer
After Shave Splash: Truefitt & Hill "English Leather" AS
Results: This Iwasaki is an amazing shaver. She's got brains and beauty. Delivered a smoooooooth as butter shave, especially coupled with the C&S, which provided for a lubricating, moist and super rich lather. Something tells me that I am going to love today.

    Have a WONDERFUL Thursday gentlemen.

I love it Leon. That lather looks absolutely delicious. That's the way I like my lathers too. Gorgeous Coneta and Semogue too

    Michael,
What a nice piece of history with this blade...Is there a date as to when they made straights?

Notes: After my razorburn last night I gave this edge a complete overhaul. Much to my surprise, that did not help. After spending a while with my microscope, I discovered the problem was my lather. I am not used to lathering soap with a badger, it was just way too dry. After resolving this issue, my shave was nice and comfortable, and rewarded me with a well-scented BBS mug.
    Sten,
Nice detective work buddy. I am very happy to learn that it was not the LG. Lather is easy to fix. Beautiful blades are hard to give up on

Ok so it's the smallest blade in my stable... But it's interesting how much feedback it gives. It sounds like it is cutting through tree's as it passes over my beard. SWMBO looked at it and asked what my beard was made of that it was so loud! I responded that it is hard to cut steel!!!!! Robert I know I told you I was "going big today" so here ya go!!! Ok all have a great thurs and be safe!

    Thursday Morning:

Prep: Nivea face scrub in shower
    Brush: Vulfix best badger
Soap/Cream: Ogalalla Bay rum & Sandalwood with TOBS Sandalwood uberlather
    Razor: Merkur 34C
    AS: Floid "blue"
    ASB: Proraso
    EDT: L'Occitane Vetyver

Great shave. Good suds and a great smelling finish. On a side note, finally got the wifey to ditch the disposable and start shaving her gams with a DE! Gotta tell you gentlemen, it was kind of a turn on watching her shave her legs with a real razor
