    Mikael,
Looking forward to your report on the new Nanny's formulation. Sounds like a lot of fun with some shaving buddies.

I love Neil's linen strops...Fantastic quality. Great job on the shave Mikael. That tea looks and sounds delicious. I love my bergamot in tea. That's my wife and I's ritual every morn for breakfast (Earl Grey + Bergamot).

Congrats Rene...This is truly a marvelous looking blade (love the concave grind). If she shaves half as good as she looks, you made out like a bandit. Use her in good health bro

And a few parting photos of my Alabama vacation. These were taken at Fort Gaines on Dauphin Island. If you like boating and salt water fishing, then Dauphin Island is the place to be. I was fishing for U. S. Civil War history, though; and Fort Gaines fit the bill. It was one of two coastal forts involved in the battle of Mobile Bay where Admiral David Farragut spoke the now famous words, "Damn the torpedoes--full speed ahead!" All in all, a pleasurable and educational visit.

Guillermo Hoppe is a mythic brand. As I told some days ago: "Some people say, and it's believed, that J.A. Henckels/Zwilling started to produce good straight razors after buying this firm (Wilhelm Hoppe and Co.)".

Left: Guillermo Hoppe; Right: J.A. Henckels; both in carbon steel
(Look for ten differences between both )

She's an excellent straight razor! I love her!

Hone she up and enjoy that treasure, please

    Good afternoon Gentlemen!

    Shave prep: Face wash
    Brush: Fonex boar brush
Soap: Van der Hagen / Speick cream / glycerine
Razor: Bengall Cast Steel, 6/8 wedge
    Strop: nun2sharp's hanging leather strop
    After Shave Splash: Lavender Spice
Notes: Wonderful shave, smooth and comfortable BBS. The brush would not stop producing lather so I went for 3 slow passes, I think I could have made another 3. Amazing! The lavender spice never fails, I feel great.

Monroe...a Maxterpiece AND a Revisor. Talk about two in one or the best of both worlds. Nice shave to wind down this memorable vacation.
