Beautiful Cape and great shave. Congrats on solving the water issue. Hopefully, it won't cause you to forget how you used to do it when you return home.
    Loool, it's not impossible though

    Prep: Hot shower
    Brush: SOC
Razor: Gillette, Popular 47 + Blue blade
    Soap: Al's custom + ARKO
    AS: Proraso
    Result: Very, very clean

I lathered up the dome and face and went for it, worked out great, even though some red marks on the throat (not used to use the DE any longer).

    PREP: Hot shower with conditioner
    MAXTERPIECE: 8/8 Friodur
    BRUSH: Semogue 2010 LE #66
    SOAP: La Toja Manantiales
    ASTRINGENT: Alum (Tade)
    ASB: Sabon
    EDT: LT Piver Vetyver
RESULTS: What is there not to like about this shave? The Manantiales makes a wonderful lather, the Friodur is a pure joy to use with the wonderful G10 scales by Max, and the edge he put on her is absolutely without equal! I hadn't used the Alum in a while, but went that route, and as they say, it made all the difference. My skin is soft and supple yet feels very well toned. The LT Piver doesn't make it into my rotation that often, but it's such a wonderful light citrusy vetiver that I couldn't pass it up today!

    Michael,

Both you and your sister should take it easy. The road to recovery from major surgery is a long one--even after release from the hospital. Believe me, I've been there and done that--twice.

You won't feel 100% for quite awhile. It takes about a year to recover fully from major surgery.

Best wishes to both you and your sister. You both remain in my hopes and prayers.

    Take care, my SRP friend.

Send some of that my way also!!! (though as heavy as my beard grows I may not want it) It's always fun to test new razors!!!! That Rattler is a beaut! Nice pick up Nick.

My last shave with this big hunk of steel before it went on its way to the other side of the world:

Razor: Joe Chandler worked back in carbon fiber
    Strop: my vintage Kanayama
    Brush: Rooney finest
    Cream: Castle Forbes Lavender
    AfterShave: Czech & Speake 88

Excellent shave, even though at 15/16" or so the razor's a bit too big for my taste.
