After teaching i was able to enjoy a nice hot shower and shave. This is one of the razors i honed up. French blade. They must have borrowed the scales from a gold Dollar. The are cheap. I am very pleased to say she delieved a smooth, amazingly close shave. 2 passes BBS. The MDC was awesome today. The best lather to date.

    Great post guys. Fantastic blades.

    Wednesday 17th

    13/16 Hayashi Hana Tombow
Neil Miller genuine linen/black latigo strops (35/50)
'le Tuft' faux amber handle, red Paua Abalone base insert, 24mm Simpson Super knot set at 50mm loft
Acca Kappa 1869 (veggie - tube)
    Thann Shiso after shave lotion
    Santa Maria Novella Emulsione Analcolica
    Amouage Dia Eau de Parfum

Seems like a very smooth shaver, this Japanese beauty. Arrived just y'day from a fellow member residing in Virginia. The Acca Kappa scent is very refreshing, I will be using it more often now as the tube's cap broke (overtightening again) and I wouldn't like to see it dry out.

    Prep: Hot shower
    Brush: Chubby 2
    Razor: C V HEljestrand
    Soap: T&H
    AS: Italian blue floid
    Strops: Neil Miller
    Result: Wow!

What a Shaver this blade is! Soap (cheers Andrew) was very cushion/fluffy, I think it has a very narrow sweet spot.

Summary: Gentlemen, this week has been incredible so far! I appreciate all the words of encouragement I've gotten as I open this new chapter in my life. What an incredible feeling to know that I've got such wonderful friends behind me. My tribute to all of you this week is to dedicate the week to using some of the most amazing razors I've had the pleasure of holding. This little beauty is no exception. A tremendously generous member of the forum offered to let me play with this blade. He made me promise I'd return it, but now I'm afraid I want to break my promise! I've never shaved with a Charlie Lewis custom before, but I can say that if they are all like this, he's in rarified air. I'm BBS and even to top it off, I'm smelling amazing with this blend of tomato leaf and patchouli! Have a great day, gentlemen!

Got this Dovo cream in today, I have to say it's excellent! Extremely dense stuff, more like a thick paste. Produces a fairly unusual lather, it likes to be quite thick, but it's very slick and dense. The Gotta isn't pretty, but one hell of a shaver!
