Guten Morgen meine Herren. A slight German theme on this rainy morning here in the Adelaide hills, I've decided to try and learn German again. Today started with a very nice shave, coffee beans hand ground in a vintage Spong grinder, brewed in a stove top mocca pot, drank from a vintage French coffee bowl (sugar, milk and cream). Today I wear an English made Egyptian cotton shirt with vintage cufflinks (30's) and carry a new, black umbrella:

Razor: Wade and Butcher 4/8 'Special', Canadian Maple Scales
    Brush: Windsor
    Pre Shave: Proraso
    Cream: Speick
    ASB: None
    After Shave: None
Summary: A great way to start the day.

Back from vacation and finally caught up enough that I have time to post. I had a great time visiting relatives in Cincinnati. My wife, son and very pregnant DIL went for a week visit so that my daughter in law could get to know the family better. I also was fortunate that my brother in law introduced me to a friend of his who just happens to live in the same Hyde Park house that I owned back 37 years ago and was married in. My wife and I got a short tour and had our picture taken in front of the fireplace were we took our vows. We also took the DIL on a grand tour of the town.

I did get to add to my shaving gear when I bought a shaving bowl at Tamarack in Beckley WV on the way home.
