    Saturday 20th

    Double Duck 4/8 wedge
Neil Miller linen/English bridle strops (40/60)
    SWK XL
    Vie-Long horsehair barbers pro
    Acca Kappa 1869 veggie
    Thann Shiso after shave lotion
    Santa Maria Novella Emulsione Analcolica

Pretty hefty and very floppy brush (but still nice), bowl lather, the DD seems to be not that forgiving (but I'm not very experienced so will use it more before expressing concrete opinions), overall a close shave but I still miss Swedish steel...

There's a high chance I'll be most likely moving to Norway, Greece or Asia (South Korea or even China) by Christmas, so I feel life is finally about to get more exciting. We'll see.

No, honing a Damascus is pretty much straight forward stuff, and the same techniques apply, IMO.

    Default Saturday

Prep: Hot shower w a lovely T&H soap
    Brush: Simpson Chubby 3
Razor: Puma, with custom made horn scales (MOP inlays) by Neil Miller
    Soap: MdC
    AS/edt: Paco Rabanne Ultra Violet
    Strops: Neil Miller
    Result: Very, very clean

Such a sweet razor, easy cut and excellent to move around the face and the MdC was chunky, ultra slick and with that lovely lavender scent (C V Heljestrand SE razor in the pic too, for display only, this time)

    PS: Vitos over glycerin
Lather: Dovo Eucalyptus + a touch of QED Sandalwood
    Brush: Omega Long Boar
    Strop: Hoffritz
Razor: Dahlgren of Eskilstuna Frame Back
    Post Shave: Alum block
    Astringent: Dickenson with rosewater
    PSB: Nivea Sensitive PSB
    ASL: Clubman

A very close shave, BBS+, but unfortunately I nicked my chin and had to get out the styptic pencil. I shaved my goatee off several weeks ago after 15 years and it is amazing the difference in the skin there and the rest of my face. It looks like chicken skin after I shave it Hopefully my skin and my technique improve quickly.

I'm so tired I almost didn't shave, but instead decided to go the other way and have a nice luxurious Uber-lather 3 pass shave.
Glad to hear that everything turned out ok Grant, I can only imagine how scary that must have been.

Congratulations on the new little ones Otto!

Sorry for my absence this week gentlemen. I had a whole lot on my plate and just couldn't find time to take pics and such. I must admit that I "lurked" in the forum (not logged in) each day from my phone and just had a very pleasurable last hour this fine Saturday looking through and "like"ing all of the fine posts. Thank you so much for all the great pictures and comments. No shave for me today, but I'll be back in full force tomorrow with something special.

Thank you Tom! I've been looking and trying to get a 7 day set together (this is a travel set though, but the razor is very good nick, so maybe I'll use it for a 7 day set - I've bought 7 NOS Helje blades, another razor in ok nick and a NOS 7 day box so far).
