I can't help much, but the "standard guide to razors - identification and values" lists the warranted mark as most commonly used between 1800 and 1830, and that manufacturer's markings were common from the 1830s. Also, monkey tails were common from 1810. I'd guess it's from that aera (1810-1830).
Not much, I'm afraid, but it's all I got

Thank you for the kind words Tim
But I didn't pay for the honing, I got it for free from a guy who is experimenting with different high grit pastes/sprays as finisher to give some feedback of my experience with it.
As long as I can get a razor to a point where I'm satisfied, I prefer spending my money on razorsNeed help or tutoring? Check out the .

Thanked: 485This is this morning's Shave of the Day (which is about 1/2 a day early for you guys on the other side). Shaved listening to the rain on the tin roof this morning after reading some Walt Whitman. It's always good to start the day with Walt:
Razor: Burrell Top Flight 'No. 1' 5/8 Hollow Brush: Humble Boar's Bristle Supermarket Pre Shave: Oscar (not shown) Cream: Crabtree and Evelyn Nomad/TOBS Eton College/Glycerin Überlather ASB: None After Shave: (rather too much of) Trufitt and Hill Trafalgar Summary: A great shave with a bit of ATG on the jawline.
Stranger, if you passing meet me and desire to speak to me, why should you not speak to me? And why should I not speak to you?

Well the tap water in and around Bath is nearly as hard as London. Bath was where I grew up and I still live just 10 miles away, for many years you couldn't "drink" the spring water due to a life threatening amoeba but they have either found a source that doesn't have it or a way to treat it which means we can continue to torture tourists as we have for centuries When we show our visitors around the baths (as tax paying locals we get in for free) most of us know better than to take up the offer of trying the water.

Monday Night Prep: Hot Shower Razor: Sprock 6/8 Brush: New Forest 2213 'Chunky' Soap: Culmak Post: Alum, Aquatonic AS, Boots Freshwood ASB Back from holiday. While I had hoped to keep up with my forums via phone while away, the area of North Devon I stayed in had poor mobile reception, which was as much of an advantage as it was a disadvantage. But I am back, rested from having walked miles and miles too and from the beach and spending hour and hours body boarding in Woolacombe Bay with the family. It was great to have a good shave again, somehow the prep never seems as good while away, maybe as the shower is invariably like standing under a dripping tap! The Sprock made light work of a couple of days growth, the Culmak soap is a pretty cheap one but the price does not reflect performance, it is slick and lathers well with a light fragrance similar to Erasmic but a little lighter and more powdery IMHO.
