Post Week of August 21 SOTD - Saturday

    Pre-Shave: Hot shower
Brush: 24mm Thäter Silvertip Badger (Olive wood handles)
Maxterpiece: 6/8" C.V. Heljestrand #32, 1/2 Hollow Ground, French Point (w/ Butterscotch Micarta Scales)
Honing Regimen: Chosera 5k, 10k followed by Maruichi Nakayama Asagi (w/ Tomonagura slurry, ending with water only)
Strop: 0/0/0 (Neil Miller Linen / Imperial Horsehide leather / Imperial Cordovan leather)
Überlather: CarrieM "Lilac" Shave Creme + Trumper's "Rose" Shave Soap + Glycerin
Toner: Thayer's Witch Hazel (Rose, no alcohol)
    Moisturizer: Trumper's Fragrance-free Moisturizer
After Shave Splash: Floïd Italian Blue AS
    Cologne: Penhaligon "Quercus" EdT
Results: Early shave for me today (we we are hosting a "business" lunch today)...After taking the Helje for a refresh around the stones last night, she delivered an incredible shave today. But that should come as no surprise to anyone who has experienced a Swedish edge. For lather, I decided to go with a little CarrieM Lilac and a dash of Trumper's Rose. The Thäter whipped up a heck of über out of this mix, resulting in a thick and moist lather, with a wonderfully soothing floral aroma.

Have a GRAND Saturday gentlemen .

    Nic,
I love this Kropp...well done on the edge.

I really like what Peter's brushes look like (I wish he made this "chunky" in a bigger size)

Looking good buddy, LOOOL. Hopefully, you'll change into something more comfortable when painting, LOOOL. Enjoy the chore. It is an arduous task, but the end result is rewarding.

Prep: Hot Water Wash, Baby Oil Gel
Razor: Lecran Cutlery Extra Hollow Ground (fresh off the hone)
    Brush: Semogue 2000
    Soap: Mitchell's Wool Fat
    AS: Alum Block
    Finish: Crusellas Kolonia 1800 Vetiver

Now this is more like it. This edge was totally unmuddy and completely crisp. My stubble was effortlessly mowed down during two passes culminating in a CBS shave.

This Wostenholm was one of my first restores. I picked it up at the flea market and had my doubts about whether I could get it shave ready again:

But I had a great shave with her today! MdC might have even gotten a good shave from this razor before the restoration ")
