Seeing more and more of these C&S No. 88's gents. Are they any good in the bowl? I have tried the soap before but never got on with it. Primarily because I didn't have a good size bowl to put it in so it kept "spinning" round on itself. Is the glass bowl/dish worth it?

Excellent shaves + pics nonetheless!! Keep 'em coming!

    Thank you.

You know, I just added some water before putting it in there.
Once that dried, it was stuck
If the bowl is worth it is hard to say. To me it is.
I find it decorative, and a bit different than most others

    Wowww Dunc,
That Wosty might have conquered the shave, but you certainly managed to master those cherries and put them to great use (yummm)...Great, delicious shave

    Rum,
As Birnando eluded to, the soap is awesome (I am still on the fence with the scent) and so is the bowl. However, as different and cool looking as it is, if you ask me, the bowl is not worth the price (too $$, imo). If I were you, I would hold the soap in my hand, while I swirl the damp brush around the top...that usually works great for me with soaps that don't have a bowl. Make sure you load enough on it to make it worthwhile though

    Friday Night/Saturday Morning
    Kropp 6/8
    New Forest 2213 'Chunky'
    Vulfix English Rose Cream
    Alum
    Aquatonic AS (over night)
Crabtree & Evelyn West Indian Limes Cologne (Saturday's fragrance)
Touched up the edge after my previous poor run out with the Kropp and now its 90% as good as it can be. I think a few more very light laps on my coticule, maybe with a bit of lather and it will be just that little bit closer to perfect. As it stands it was an excellent shave, after which I hit the hay rather than posting. The Aquatonic as is a cheap but pleasant one which suits my skin, its fragrance is very muted so a good over nighter for me. Today's scent is C&E West Indian Limes which for me lasts all day, without being over powering.
