    Thursday

I’m posting this early for tomorrow’s shave. I need some cheering up, so tomorrow morning I’ll put on this LP and listen to ‘My Favorite Things’ during the shave and suffer in silence my wife’s banging fist on the bedroom wall. We all need to consider “Wild gees that fly with the moon on their wings” once in a while, don’t we?

    Razor: Klas Törnblom
    Pre Shave: Proraso
    Soap: Proraso/Speick Überlather
    After Shave: None

    Back from Mühle.
I spoke 90 minutes with both of the Mueller-brothers. Very interesting.
I bought the closed comb (left) and the beautiful brush.
In the right side you find the R41 in the same design.

Not sure on the age of it. I have read that it was made by the same company that made Kropp razors. I'll try to get it in one of my pics soon., I really like it.

Today is my day off so I did a superficial restore on the Lancet Edge, honed it and shaved with it. I am reliably informed that the shape (wider at the toe than heal) is how they were made and it seemed to suit the contours of my face well. It took a lovely edge, I got a good HHT result straight off the stones and after stropping it was super. A satisfying, shave and the 1st of many with this razor.
One of my jobs today has been grocery shopping, buying ingredients for Somerset Pork which I shall cook this evening (pork & cider casserole) and ingredients for some rather indulgent cup cakes which my wife plans to make on the weekend. I am not sure she appreciates how much the ingredients cost but I take comfort that they will certainly cost less than $16 muffins!
    Regards
    Nic
