Thanks
You know, I am in the same camp as you with regards to the Coti.
I can get good sharpness from them, especially on softer steels, but I tend to prefer the edges of a couple of my other finishers for most of my collection.
All part of the fun though, playing around with hones is more than half the fun in this sport for me these daysBjoernar
Um, all of them, any of them that have been in front of me over all these years....

Thank you Robert! Since I traded my old 9 ½, I allways kind of regreted I did (even though I got a very good trade), but now I finaly found another one in close to NOS nick It's a boxed C V Heljestrand SE razor (single edge razor with honeable blades, made by Heljestrand too - very nice kit). It's a nice brush, thank you and I like it a lot, both design and knot.

I guess I was kinda close. Good shot buddy
Kalerolf,
Sounds like you're seriously ready for this weekend to start. Hope your day unwinds well and your weekend starts with a bang. Yummmm...inner sounds great too. Awesome shave and shot (love the wolf)
Couldn't agree with you more B. I sometimes like to hone a blade (whether she needs it or not), just for the fun. After all, we have to keep our skills or we forget, LOL
Glad you found your long lost love again. This is beauty of this sport: "What goes around, comes around". Enjoy both brush and razor. Love the SE too.

Robert

Week of September 18 SOTD - Friday
Pre-Shave: Hot shower Brush: 26mm Simpson "Chubby 2", 2-band Super Badger Maxterpiece: 6/8" Dubl Duck "Goldedge", Full Hollow Ground, Spike Point (w/ Original everything) Honing (refresh) Regimen: 7 (light) laps around the CrOx treated English bridle leather Strop: 60 laps on the Ambrose Horsehide leather Überlather: Trumper's "Violet" Shave Creme + Trumper's "Rose" Shave Soap + Glycerin Toner: Thayer's Witch Hazel (Rose, no alcohol) Moisturizer: Trumper's Fragrance-Free Moisturizer After Shave Splash: Floïd Italian Blue AS After Shave Balm: RazorRock AS Balm Cologne: Creed "Original Vetiver" EdT Results: An Invigorating shave with the Duck today . Refreshed her edge (after a long time of no usage) on the CrOx leather for a few very light laps, cleaned her off under hot water and dried and then gave her a nice long stropping with my Ambrose. I never had very good luck with pastes and CrOx in general, but today, I must have done something right. I was rewarded to a ultra sharp and smooooooooth edge (just the way I like them). The Simpson whipped up a nice fragrant lather out of the Rose/Violet concoction. The prep was marvelously luxurious and refreshing. The RazoRock ASB is every bit as good as they say it is...If you haven't tried this stuff, you don't know what you're missing (and no...I wasn't paid to say this
Have an SUPERB Friday gentlemen .
