It would pop hair off my arm no problem, but on my face it didn't seem to do anything. I had my Bockla that Roy honed on hand, just in case, and I put it to use almost immediately. I'm not sure I know how to shave with a full wedge like this. Another new experiment!! I hope my face heals quickly, I need a good shave.
    Wowww Mike,
Sounds like the edge on that Salamander has started to go and you've been on a "butchering" mission. Let your face heal brother for a couple of days. With a face that raw, even the masterfully honed blades would be torture.

PS; Congrats on the new FR though.

    Jeez Tom,
Is Germany paying Yoda enough to do this "almost" futile exercise, LOOOOL?

Beautifully said Carl and a wonderful "motivating" shave. Keep pushing the envelop of life brother... and remember that 50 is the new 20, LOOOL

Of course one would argue that on the other hand there has been an inclination by the undersigned to stick to 'Lexus' style of shaving :P lately, as I tend to use a lot either the AC RG or the new SS. May be it is because I oiled all my straights last night as part of getting ready for the moving company coming in this or early next week to take my belongings back home.
    Hey Konstantinos,
So you begin a new chapter in your life. I am very happy for you brother. May this move be the first step towards a much happier future.

+1 on your thoughts about "Lexus" style shaving. Hope those nicks heal fast (doesn't sound serious)

I dig the Cella sample Oz gave me recently. I'm a little surprised actually but I love the smell.
Beautiful JR Grant. So, the surprise is from the performance or scent? Personally I dig the performance and dislike its scent (I don't know, maybe mine is starting to go bad?)

Not much to elaborate Nic. Sunday we had a great visit with Max (BBQ, good chat and lots of laughs). I got to witness the genesis to some of the guys' Maxtoms (they're going to LOVE it). I also got to see that photoluminescent razor Max did and recently sold. It was hilarious and very creative.

Monday was business for me and my business partner. We are on the verge of launching a new internet business with regards to "Job searches" and recruitment (something that's way outside my comfort zone). I wanted to go to the HR Technology Expo in Vegas and size our competition. We came out very happy. Long grueling day and very very productive.

Thanks Bill..unfortunately, Max' 401k didn't get a contribution. If anything he contributed to mine. Max helped me descale my Bismarck (with the Ivory Micarta, which I wasn't too crazy about) and put back her original scales. The Man literally did this in 5 minutes. What an interesting process. I can understand why he is the "Peen Master".

beautiful job on the Manaslu Bill. They take on a very nice edge. Glad you're feeling 100% (or close).

    Angel,
Congratulations on a fabulous purchase. Is this a nameless Solingen Stainless? If so, I had one and they seem to be Friodur blanks. Great shavers, but I sold mine some time ago (and miss her)
