thurs 20th Oct 2011 Best shave of my life
Thanks to you guys here I ordered Mitchells Wool Fat, Poraso pre shave cream and poraso aftershave, after a good wash I applied near boiling water to my face with my brush, then worked in a small ammount of the pre shave cream. This I must say gives the most wonderfull cool fresh feeling. Whilst I let the cream do its job I started to work the MWF, I understand now what is ment by the ammount of water it takes! Scraping the excess lather off my brush I then dipped it back in the boiling water picked up the allready worked lather and applied it to my face. It gave the most wonderfull hot creamy lather I have ever had. as I applied the lather to my face I could feel the pre shave sending my face abit numb. A good WTG pass and I was in shaving heven. I couldn't resist re applying the porasso and MWF and continued as above except XTG pass. well into my stride now I repeated all the steps above apart from doing a ATG pass. did I need it ? No not at all but I was having fun! Drying my face after and applying a good amount of poraso aftershave put the iceing on the cake. This has just been the best shave of my life so far totally BBS and not even one little nick.
A very big THANK YOU to SRP and to all you guys who exalted the vertues of these wonderfull products.
To any other newb who has not tried this stuff, go get um, give um a go, I can promise you won't be dissapointed!!!
It may be wishing my life away but "Roll on tomorrow"Last edited by BertyBloggs; 10-20-2011 at 01:42 PM.

ANOTHER APOCALIPTIC SHAVE
PREP:Hot shower no pre shave nothing!
RAZOR: Wacker Jungmeister 7/8. Needs honing, got a decent shave out of it; better hone it before the end-of-the world.
SOAP: Tabac in ceramic bowl
BRUSH: Vulfix hog's hair brush The Strand
ASTRINGENT: RazorRock Alum stick
AS: Old Spice
Results: The Jungmeister needs a trip to the hones other than that, it was a fantastic shave. Love the Tabac; while shaving I forgot that I sliced the right side of my face with a newly honed Wadsworth and shaved over the wound..ouch! SHAVE ON. HOG
..Getting ready for the party, I ran out of beer the last time

10-20-2011, 01:51 PM #214PHENOMENAL Shaves today gentlemen.
I wish I could contribute as well, but I am going for a "No Shave for me today" day (very tight schedule today)
Carl: Enjoyed your story line. Very nice touch. Can't wait to read what happens tomorrow now. That is if the world doesn't end today as predicted by some, LOOOL
HOG: Thanks for the reminder. I am bringing more munchies and some wine too...Save me a front row seat to what's sure to be the best show on the planet.
PS: Has anyone heard from Monroe (aka, JHenry)? He's been MIA for quite some time

Cheers,
Robert

Hog:I'm a real estate agent and I just had an offer on a house which has been on the market since 2008, it would be absolutely typical if the world does end tomorrow!
Having said that d'ya think this offer could be one of the signs of the apocalypse?Regards
