Edge Refresh Regimen: 7 (light) laps on CrOx leather strop

Überlather: Institut Karité Shave Creme + Institut Karité Shave Soap + Glycerin

Toner: Thayer's Witch Hazel (Rose, no alcohol)

Results: Time for this Böker to shine today. And that's exactly what she did. This amazing RN brush (my wife's favorite) was a delight to use for whipping up an überlicious lather out of the Institut Karite. Another CBS and refreshing shave to start a busy day. I think I have my faceturbation under control

Even though I had my first complete shave with a straight razor only yesterday, I was feeling lazy/sleepy this morning. I opted to fall back on my trusty Merkur Futur to shave quickly and effortlessly. Result: very near BBS shave in three passes and loving the Lyme goodness! SIDE NOTE: last time I tried to shave with a straight when I was tired resulted in a nasty 1 1/2 long gash in my cheek where I sat the razor on my skin at the wrong angle. Discretion is indeed the better part of valor!

I change my hardware after 2-3 years. The computers are very important for my job and I need both Mac's.
Apple-hardware is the best of the best and my son is happy to get my old iMac for less.

And it was essential to upgrade my Adobe CS3 to 5.5

More I don't need for my different jobs and interests.

It's better to send money to Apple and Adobe than to Greece!

Result: Haven't shaved since Sunday.Felt that today would be a good day to spend inside with all the man-eating beasties running loose here in Zanesville(though I think that as of now only a mountain lion, grizzly bear and a monkey are still on the loose).The Torrey delivered as always even though I can never seem to get the ultimate edge out of my American steel.The Arko cream was quite pleasant followed by the matching AS.Have a great day everyone and wish me luck as I attempt to walk to the store.

Robert, todays shave was even earlier, at 5am!
It's not that bad getting up early though, as long as I get a good nights sleep.
And the upside, I was finished at work by 2pm

• Strop: Illinois #827 after honing, 60/150 linen/leather, 25 laps on the Ambrose Caballo this moring before the shave.
• Honing: Chosera 1k, 2-4-6-8-16k Shapton GS, 12 laps with CroX on poly.
• Post: Alum block, Myrsol Formula K, Clubman.

Thank you Robert , to be honest with you I tried this way for a two reason , first to see what is the strongest smell the result is ( lemon ) , second think I choosed Derby cream because is cheapest and i can get it her easily

As always I started with a King combo 1000/6000 starting each side with slurry diluting to water. I then went onto a coticule (Novelle vein) with slurry but it took it backwards in keenness. I then switched to the hybrid side of a Les Lats which I have and that helped a bit but not greatly. I think the Coti's were a little slow and I probably would have gotten there eventually but I chose to move onto a Dragons Tongue which worked much better, and finished it on my Olive Green hone which might be a Charnley, or might not. Followed that with a Crox strop and it was sweet.

3 pass shave to bliss. Great whip cream lather. I had not shaved for a few days and the Geneva took care of it with flying colors. All the razors in my rotation got a 12K/16K run followed by a 6 pass CrOx Balsa run. (I have come to determine this is where I like my edges) Nice and sharp with not one hint of harshness. Over the last few days after getting back I have been deep into the abyss of cleaning firearms, honing knives and razors and generally getting caught up on all things slacking...Nice reward today and great posts everyone!!!
