    November 1 2011 SOTD

Prep: hot shower and lingering lather
    Brush: Rooney Silvertip
    Cream: RazoRock XXX
Razor: Wester Bros White Eagle Manganese
Post: RazoRock Alum Thayer’s Lemon Witch Hazel

Well today I have a bunch of candy left over because only 12 little monsters came by trick or treating last night. And 5 of them really don't count as they put no effort in to a costume save wearing all black and sharing a ski mask (I could rant but why bother getting all bent outta shape )

Today the lather came together beautifully, the edge on the Wester Bros was great and for the first time I think I had angle and pressure coexisting for much of my shave with this razor.

Then in a moment of carelessness I earned my first straight razor gash. A 1cm bleeder in my thumb when looking in the mirror, stretching with one hand and shifting my grip.

I guess everyone needs a reminder at least once. I'm just glad I hit something soft and not a faucet.

Great shaves gents, I look forward to more this week.

Dunc: Sorry to hear about your gash buddy. We all do need reminders. And somehow, the "Shave Fairy" knows when that is for all of us, LOOL

Not part of the theme but a great post work shave. 2 pass DFS. This razor I placed in Camo dress G10. Recently run over the hones up to the 16K Shapton followed by CrOx on balsa. SMOOTH!!!!
Interesting side note that since the camping 10 day no shave I am feeling like my face is virgin to the Str8 again. Actually notice some bumps. I guess my face liked daily Str8 or DE and is getting back at me for the Halloween holiday! Great Uber and plenty of glide and cushion. I don't even bother saying glycerin as it is a given that I use 4 Gtts. I have been trialling the Pegasus II strop and I have to say it is a fantastic bargain with excellent draw.

    .

Locale: A Snowy, Cold, Biting Evening at home
Music: The Raconteurs - Live at Manchester
Prep: Hot Shower / OBR Glycerine Soap / Fantastic Sam Conditioner
Razor: 'Mike's Hammer' DC Custom 7/8
Hones: 25/50 on the Chestnut was all that was needed
Brush: Custom 24mm Silvertip / Lather Bowl #2
Post: Cold Water Splash - Alum
Uber: RazoRock XXX & Sir Irisch Moos Creme
    AS: Lloyd's After Shave Balm
    Edt: Avon Signature
Result: I love this razor! 3 passes, and I mean slow, careful passes ending with an ATG in places I've just reached for the first time. The wonders of this razor are still just coming to light. The Uber is one of my favorites and never dissappoints. No picture today, no time
    .

    Happy Shaves Men!!!!

The pres. gets off his jet, and walks off with a baby pig in each hand. A marine present said: "Nice pigs sir!" while saluting. The pres. responds: "They are not pigs. They are Arkansas Razorbacks. I got this one for Pelosi and this one for Clinton." The marine responds: "Excellent trade sir!".
