Got this lovely Dovo from John (johnmrson) yesterday, honed it up on my now (very) full Shapton GS system, and it just took an exceptional edge. One truly great shave!

Week of November 27 SOTD - Wednesday
Pre-Shave: Hot shower Brush: 26mm Rudy Vey Custom w/ TGN Grade A Silvertip Badger + Kingwood handle Razor: 7/8" Joe Chandler, 1/4 Hollow Ground, Barber's Notch (w/ Mexican Kingwood scales) Strop: 15/65 laps (Tony Miller Heirloom Horsehide) Soapreme: Trumper's "Sandalwood" Shave Creme + QED "Indian Sandalwood" Shave Soap + Glycerin Toner: Thayer's Witch Hazel (Rose, no alcohol) After Shave/Cologne Splash: Floïd Italian Blue Skinfood: Trumper's Sandalwood Skinfood Results: Took out the Joe Chandler for a ride today and what a ride it was. The lather was Sandalwood galore. Lovely in every respect. It felt good rubbing this stuff all over the face. It was so good that even if I didn't take blade to face, I would have considered this s successful exercise. But, I didn't do that and this JC delivered a very smooth and satisfying shave . 2 days growth wiped out like yesterday's news...You could even call this a "whisker genocide" and not feel bad. Off to the salt mines.
Have a TERRIFIC mid week gentlemen.
