What others has said - it's possible (for most) to get "BBS" without feeling the stubble (also a matter of how hard you press your fingers against the chin, for me at least), but I shouldn't push for it, if I was you. It's a matter of technique and how good a razor you have and if you push for it you'll most likely get irritations and/or red marks/dots on your chin.

I must agree with Grant, it's a joy to see the smokers coming out! It must mean Christmas season is upon us. I look forward to seeing your wife's collection, Tom!

As most say the only true test, is a shave test.
Congratulations on the honing success, Jeff. Now you just need to pick up a few more razors to practice on. Tell your wife that I approved the purchases!

Razor – King Midas - Spike point
    Brush – Ever Ready#1
    Soap – Colgate
    AST - ALUM
    AS – Modine’s Boom-Boom juice

Top of the morning to ya!
I thought it would be nice to use my King Midas. This is hard steel on this razor. PITA to hone and no tape was used on spine.. I very slightly mute my spike points.
Favored a go with my own after shave concoction. I liken it to Granny’s rheumatism medicine. Good for just about all that ails you. Your pores will scream as they close. One secret ingredient is Tonga bean for aroma. It smells great once you recover. Have a great week.

A little short n time today and no time for personal comments (visiting mom and dad during the day and one of the Monsters' 9th B-day party in the evening). Just a couple of specifics comments

    Max:
Love that Maxtom...She is the biggest you have made thus far (I think).

Grant: Glad you like the BRV/MWF combo. That's the beauty of MWF...Anything goes with this awesome soap.

Kalerolf: Glad you seem to be feeling better buddy.
