Amazingly beautiful photos today folks... Kinda makes me ashamed of my meager collection of crud.

It's been a fitful and stressful Monday that I am so happy is over. Once I got home, grabbed a beer and fired up the computer, the first place I went to was SRP to check out the shaves..

Well, off I go to shower and shave myself.. Seeing all this magnificence is making me want to pull out the big guns.

    See you in an hour!!!

    Gents,

I don't know if it's the upcoming holiday spirit, the end of the year or what else, but so far the new week of the SOTD rocks!

    Prep:Hot Shower
    Scuttle:Dirty Bird Custom Double
Brush:TGN 22mm Silvertip in East Indian Rosewood
    Strop:SRD PIV English Bridle
    Cream:Calypso Bomb
    Razor: D.C. Halsted Wedge
    After shave: Pinaud Clubman
    EDT: Perry Ellis 360

Result: It had been several days since I shaved, so the DC Halsted wedge was the perfect choice to silently slay the whiskers. A 2 pass shave revealed an edge that was in slight need of a touch up. Tomorrow's shave will be the same Hardware with different software. Woo-hoo, time to spend some time with the stones!

    Good Morning,

Great posts yesterday, love looking at them.

    Prep: Shower
Strop: SRD Premium 1 Leather, 30,70
    Brush: Cheap Omega Boar
    Cream TOBS Rose
    Razor: Dovo Master's
    AS: Old Spice, Whitewater

    Nice 2 pass shave today.
Just 2 days of work left, then going to London for a few days. Looking forward to my annual shopping trip with my daughter. I always find an excuse to drag her along Jermyn street to TOBS. I need to replenish my supplies of shaving cream, I'm down to my last tub of Rose.

    Have a Great Day

    .

    Locale: Home Sweet Home
    Music: Foghat - Energized
Prep: Hot Shower / Fantastic Sams Conditioner / Hot Towel Soak
Razor: 7/8 DC Custom Worked Spine Spanish Point in Micarta
Hones: American Hone Co. Winner dual sided barber hone 10 laps - Felt/Chestnut 25/100
Brush: Custom 24mm Silvertip in Honey Locust
Uber: Vintage Old Spice Soap + Spieck = One fine smelling lather
Post: cool Water Splash / Alum
AS: I went straight to the face with some vintage Old Spice After Shave
Edc: Stetson Original - Goes so good with Old Spice
Result: This weeks shaves have started off so well that I felt compelled to shave with my DC. This near wedge takes off whiskers like they were made of butter. 2 passes were good enough to reduce 2 days of growth instantly. A good polishing on the Winner and Leather and she was smooth as glass and just as sharp! No tugs or pulling and scything is a breeze. It's a little dangerous around the ears, and I managed to cut my cheek and stab straight in under my left ear. Niether bled bad and the alum stopped them and made them invisible. Shaving with this razor is worth every cut and nick.

    Semogue 2011 LE boar 2

    Aqua Velva
    Gucci Guilty asb

Close shave, two passes, three days stubble removed easily. Being here with two soap sticks and one brush only gives me time to get to know them better, how they lather etc.

The flipside to that coin of course is that I start to get bored, e.g. for example every time I shave it'll either be the Feather SS or the R41 2011 or the Tuckaway. And what makes it worse is that I'll carry on like that for another full month, till my belongings arrive from Europe. But all will be well.

This balm does a terrific job, I have to say. Got it as a gift at the Doha Duty Free and if it continues to impress me I'll be buying another one for sure (the Santa Maria Novella pre/dopo has gone back to the refrigerator!)

In the meantime, work continues relentlessly here in the Far East. It is a privilege to be here and see that miracle, how these people have achieved so much production-wise in the last few decades.
