Brothers: Sorry for being incognito again, but been real busy lately. No time to even scratch my head (but always make time for a good shave) or check out your posts. Will be back soon.
Meanwhile, shave on

Tuesday
Merkur Futur
Gillette SP (9)
Omega Boar
Tabac
Master Topaz
Decent shave this morning, but I could tell this was the last good shave I was going to get from this blade: for 9 shaves (not all my usual 3-passes) from one blade. I found the Gillette SPs to be somewhere between the Astras and the Sharks. Not a bad blade, but not necessarily something I'd want to stock up on as long as there are comparable blades available for much less money. The Master Topaz left me smelling wonderful to get my Tuesday going.

DFS today. The EJ lather is always very "wet" to me. nice but different from things like MDC, Cella, etc. Just not a ton of volume to it. Still a great shave and loving the day.

Tuesday
I overslept yesterday and just felt I couldnt rush through a shave, so I used a DE instead.
More time this morning and back at the straight shave with:
Dovo 6/8 Best Quality
Badger Brush
Mitchell's Wool Fat Soap
Thayer's
Booster's June Clover AS
Nivea Sensitive ASB
Trumper's Spanish Leather cologne
Stropping the Dovo went very well today- very smooth, and I didnt feel at risk of nicking the leather... practice does make perfect (well, not perfect, but better...) The Wool Fat lather seemed to dry out quickly today, and there were a few 'sticky' points where I held my breath to wait and see if any blood appeared, but no cuts today.
I'm still struggling a bit with getting the right angle ATG under chin and on my neck - a bit rougher than I would like, but zero irritation.

I've been looking forward to this morning since last Wednesday. See, a razor I purchased from Max arrived just as we (the family) were getting ready to leave for Michigan. To some it may be petty, but I REALLY wanted to get home and test drive this 120+ year old blade (per Max's comment on his site)
Prep: Hot Shower + Woody's Pre Shave Exfoliating Wash + Proraso Pre/Post
Brush: Thater
Razor: Wade & Butcher 6/8 3/4 Hollow with Tan G10 Scales - Restored by Max
Scuttle: Georgetown Pottery
Cream: Xpec
Post: Alum
ASB: Xpec
2 passed and I was perfectly smooth. Going to love this razor for a long time to come. Even better is that Max just finished the custom blade I ordered from him and I'll have it in time for Christmas.
