I'm enjoying seeing your knives this week Tom. I'm cleaning up an old knife that belonged to my Grandfather at the moment.
I'll include it in a photo when its finished.

Another stinking hot summer day here and I had an afternoon shave when I got home from work.
This Gillette is very easy to use, and gave me a great squeaky clean head shave in 2 passes.
The Mentha Balm was once again a fantastic way too cool down.

    Prep: Hot Shower
    Razor: Klos Tornblom
    Brush: Semogue 1305
    Soap: VDH Deluxe
AS: Nivea Double Action Balm, Clubman Bay Rum
    Finish: Pierre Cardin
    Breakfast Stogie: Phillies Titan

Tried something new (well, new to me anyway) I did my usual two pass shave then did touch up pass with hot water and about a nickel size blob of baby oil gel. Worked quite well moisturizing my skin and made the surface quite slick to touch up the usual trouble spots. I've never been to Eklstuna, Sweden but if it produces razors like this and the venerable C.V. Haljestrand, I can't imagine, it's not a great place.

How do you like the Perfect Temper? I have 2 of them, one a 6/8 and one 9/16. They both shave like a dream, but the 9/16 was a bear to get right as it has a badly warped blade. The struggle was worth it though...

Good to have you back. I had to prepare for a new semester also. Only problem is last week they told me one of the classes was cancelled. Not good when the professor does not show up, but the students do.

    Enjoy the semester!!

This BQ has thrice now given me a great shave. I also love this brush as a switch from the Thater. Thick, creamy lather all the time. Oddly enough, I seem to have a touch of razor burn on the cheek... which is odd as I never get razor burn. Maybe in the rush, it didn't apply the balm thoroughly. Bonus for the day - my barber hones arrived, by DMT 8C arrived, and my newest addition (Dovo Flowing 6/8) will be here today

    Happy Hump Day all!

I really like the Col Conk shave soap. Lathers very easy and full protection.
