Prep: Hot towels and eshave Orange Sandalwood oil Razor: TI Le Canadien 6/8" Snakewood (Rescued by his brother, the 6/8" Le Canadien in Black Horn) Brush: PC Woodcraft 24mm Super Silvertip Snakewood Lather: MWF Strop: SRD Latigo 50/50, episaacs 'roo 50 Scuttle: Robert Becker #9 Black AS: Trumper's Spanish Leather ASB: Trumper's Unscented Comments: Ugh. Back to the Nortons with this razor. It pulled a lot and the sweet edge on its brother saved the day. More honing practice for me! I'll update The Noob Chronicle in a while. Happy shaving, my SOTD Brothers!

Brush: Vie-Long Boar
Soap/Creme: Arko
Razor: Merkur Progress
Blade: Gillette (dark blue pack)
Pre: How towel
Post: Witch Hazel
Hair Groom: Gables Creme Oil
Result: Got a new Vie-Long boar and wanted to try it out. Like most new boar brushes, there was that "new brush smell" (which sadly is a lot less nice than new car smell), so I gave it a basic cleaning and soaking, and figured that if there was one soap stronger than boar stink, it was Arko! Got a nice lather whipped up for a new brush and had a DFS, and the Arko really did overpower the boar stink!
