Prep: Hot shower
Brush: Martinez' Custom: Chess King w/ 26mm silver tip badger
Soap: Mama Bear's Bay Rum
Strop: Tony Miller Heirloom tri-strop (3x25)
Razor: Otto Bush Worldmaster
ASB: Caswell-Massey Number Six
A sticky smooth and comfortable shave. I like the Caswell-Massey Number Six when it is cold outside.
Too bad Caswell-Massey has stopped making the Number Six.Last edited by Otto; 01-31-2012 at 09:03 AM.

Thanked: 1072Strop: MickR's Roo Hide
Brush: Comoy Badger
Soap: Proraso
Razor: Royal Invicta 6/6, Long Life 145 11/16
Toner: Thayer's Witch Hazel
Balm: C.O. Bigelow Mentha
A/S: Old Spice
These 2 both received a touch up last night.
The Invicta passed with flying colors, the Long Life needs a little more work.
As a result, the Invicta did most of the work tonight. 2 passes and a DFS
Feels good to be nice and smooth after a couple of days off.
Sorry about the lack of participation lately boys. My evenings have been consumed doing research. I'm planning to build my own small forge very soon
Thanks for the great posts and pics gentlemen.

Another fine shave by this beautiful Maxterpiece. Photos simply do not do the paua shell scales justice! When you combine a good blade with outstanding software, you know you're going to come out right! Thanked: 1185Prep: Dome Shave, Hot Shower, Baby Oil Gel Pre-shave
Razor: T. Noonan and Sons Arabic
Cream: Barbasol Sensitive Skin
AS: Dickinson's Witch Hazel
Finish: Nitro EdT (a Hugo knock-off)
A rare week day dome and face shave. I just felt like a bit of playing this morning. While both shaves were pretty good, the edge on this razor needs a bit of work and just isn't as crisp as I normally like.

Thanked: 1079Tuesday
Cobra Classic
Feather Professional Blade (6)
Wellington Woodcraft Silvertip
Jack Black Supreme Cream
L'Oreal After Shave Balm
Herve Leger Homme
First time using the Jack Black shave cream. Using the face lathering method it made a very nice lather that easily lasted through three passes. The Cobra glided on my face to produce another silk smooth shave. I can't put this razor down.

Tuesday
Dovo Best Qualilty 6/8
Men-U Boar brush
TSD Irish Spring type soap
Booster June Clover
Pinaud Clubman
Great shave this morning! I decided to use the Booster June Clover instead of witch hazel this morning and since the Booster scents do not last long on me, I topped off with Pinaud Clubman, which provided a great finish!

Razor: Gem 1912 with Gem SS blades-Brush: Fuller synthetic-Cream: Erasmic-AS: Thayers Lavender and plenty of styptic -Result: today was a reminder of why you should never hurry a shave, even when using a safety razor. I must have peeled away several layers of skin and I think I bled more than I have in my entire 15+ years of straight shaving combined. You know it's bad when the alcohol free witch hazel burns worse than Clubman. I guess it's time for a break from shaving for a few days to heal up.
