Wade and Butcher’s turn today, and it was a very nice shave. I’d polished the W&B the day before with an old cloth that had been used with Brasso to polish cufflinks. The dried Brasso had impregnated the cloth and was all the abrasive required. I have been considering getting some jewellers’ polish, or rouge as I believe it is called. The shave included a very satisfying moment during the ATG on the neck pass; it just seemed to work really well. I’ve been experimenting with different ‘paths’ a bit; I’d got a little too regimented and set, and I needed to tweak the stroke paths a little to get a better shave. It worked.
The Faulding ‘Shave’ cream did quite a good job. It’s no O Melhor but it tries like a little trooper, and its smell makes up for its lack of oomphisity. I used no after shave as I wanted to savour the smell of the cream all day; it lingers.
Have a great weekend, guys.
